Backlash has too many powers to lose. Tp/tk, mist form, long range coils, and nearly 100 years of combat experience.

His mist form can only be used once a day.

His coils can be broken, which gives him immense pain. KK has broken inertron etc.

That was during his later days, iirc. Before that, there was no limit on how much he can change into mist.

I'd be shocked if Val didn't have a way to karate chop mist into submission.
