His position on the high council is comfirmed, but just how high ranking was he

Well, he might stink pretty bad, but thats no reason to make a thread about it...

He wasn't on the high jedi council, and even on the lesser council, both Zhar and Vrook seemed to be higher up.

Plus his good grammar really screwed him over with people.

Your wrong, in the KOTOR comics he is clearly a representative on both the lesser Dantooine council and the High Council on Coruscant moreover, he and Vrook seem to be the most prominent members of the council. Also he seems to have a lot of sway as his visions of the Sith during the time of the Mandalorian Wars stopped any official Jedi involvement in the war according to NEC.
