Several things have to be accounted for. Speed, power, intelligence, battle skill, etc.

The Scarlet Spider has all of Peter Parker's memories from about Venom's first appearance and before. Therefore he has much battle experience, including the experience he gathered (it was stated later he has a different fighting style from Peter). Though they both have the same powers.

The combination of Spider-Sense and his spider-like agility is a great combination. Being able to sense danger before it comes along with his speed makes him a very formidable foe.

The Scarlet Spider also has webbing, poison stingers and impact webbing. All are very useful (though poison stingers will do nothing to Hercules).

One major problem the Scarlet Spider has is power. His power is nothing compared to Hercules. I'll give this battle to Hercules, but the Scarlet Spider will annoy him greatly.
