Captain America is on a routine mission in new york city when, all of a sudden, he is ambushed by 10 bloodthirsty gorilla's with broken beer bottles for weapons!

If he can power through that: Match 2
He finds their leader, Gorilla Grodd.

Angered by his defeat, Gorilla Grodd opens a cage before his last dying breath catches up to him to reveal

He finally gets home to the safety of his bed. He sleeps for 2 days straight. Gorillas have been in comics for longer than many characters. In fact... I bet there has been a gorilla to appear in every single ongoing series created.

In fact... there is an entire site dedicated to detecting gorilla's appearances in comics:
