I prefer Tidus, but he is outmatched here.

As far as I know, most people in FF exhibit super natural physical abilities, so I guess Tidus making incredible jumps and knocking someone so hard he flies out of a water pool doesn't account for that much. I'm not sure if Squall has done anything bare handed like that, but I don't doubt he has. Anyway, that's pretty much all Tidus have, excellent physical attributes when it comes to jumping, speed and I guess a little strenght. He still has to little time to get used to the sword, so Squall should have him outmatched there.

He can fire from his blade to can he not? Don't see Tidus getting past that easily either.

I don't know much about Tidus but Squall is kinda cool and Tidus looks like a chump.
