Yeah, Guy. Phoenix Force is not immortal. Look.
(scans are courtesy of Mr. Master)
Galactus intended on Separating the Phoenix Force from Rachel Summers,
http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/7420/43665650sn8.th.jpg
and have it returned to the Cosmos, even if it meant her Rachel's life.
Rachel accepts her fate
"it's only one LIFE he wants ... I give it to him"
http://img452.imageshack.us/img452/8148/g7ur2.th.jpg
BUT
"Galactus the Stars, they are going out"
http://img452.imageshack.us/img452/6415/g8dh2.th.jpg
Then Roma says,
"THAT CHILD (Rachel Summers) IS PHOENIX, Living Embodiment of ONE of the Primal Forces, you can no more divide her spirit from flesh than you can life from death, there is a natural order to her being (EXISTENCE) as to yours, and all creation"
DEATH speaks about Galactus BREAKING the "Eternal Pattern"
"violate at your own peril"
http://img452.imageshack.us/img452/5861/g9yi2.th.jpg
Galactus then says,
"my sustenance is living Planets, the Phoenix can Obliterate an entire Cosmos"
Then Death responds with,
"and FROM that DEATH (Obliterate an entire Cosmos) Bring about New Life but you're CHANGING that, BREAKING the ETERNAL PATTERN"
The "obliterate the cosmos" and the "new life" refer to what Phoenix IS - the spark that ignites the universal big bang. If Galactus erases the PF, the "eternal pattern" is screwed because there's no new big bang and no new life.
Similarly, The Ultimator can be killed but like the PF, destroying it will also be very bad for existence.
Cool scans
Galactus lost to Rachel Summers
Galactus didn't look impressive against Gravity
Big G is powerful. IMO, PF>Galactus
Before it turns into a barrage of insults, I am staying with the Force. It will always live
