The battle is at Thermopylae, and both have steel armoury and weapons.

300 Spartans from the Battle of Thermopylae vs 300 Medieval Knights from the 13th-14th century.

Spartans: Steel short swords, 2-3 meter thrusting spears, Steel-rimmed thick oak shields with reeds, half have steel breastplates and Corinthian-based helmets.

Knights: Chainmail armor with plates and helmets, half with Medieval swords and shields while the other half has bow and arrows. No horses, no platemail. Fighting is all on foot.

Spartans 10/10.

1) Medieval combat was charge and hack, whereas the Spartans had a good grasp of tactics and teamwork.

2) Chainmail was designed to prevent slashing/hacking. The Spartan thrusting spears should make quick work of the knights.

3) The knights have archers, but the Spartan phalanx has shown itself an effective defense against archers.
