Aragorn and Boromir take on Luke and Vader aboard of the second Death Star. Vader and Luke are their Return of the Jedi incarnations and both have their lightsabers. Boromir and Aragorn both get their swords.

Luke and Vader allowed to use their force abilities that they were shown using in the movies. however. they are not allowed to use the following abilities: push, pull, choke, any form of levitation, and any form of crush or constriction.

For the sake of the battle the narsil and boromir's sword are resistant to lightsaber strikes.

So, who wins?

Jedi precog pwns. Mind trick, dude.

mind tricks only work on the weak minded though. neither aragorn nor boromir are weak minded... in fact aragorn is basically peak human-super human due to his heritage.

Even if the swords are resistant to lightsaber strikes, the lightsabers have almost no weight, meaning that the jedi/sith can wield them with much more efficiency and speed. Plus, they have pre cog, allowing them to sense and deflect blaster rounds. Boromir couldn't block arrows.

yeah but with the precog look how slow they were fighting. They were barely moving faster than humans. so how exactly does that help them? where was vaders precog when luke was swinging at him wildly?

The precog, well, I have a theory on that, at least to Luke and Vaders final battle. Vader was old, slower than he was before, whereas Luke was young and was using the dark side, making him that much more deadly. Vader was not anticipating Luke coming at him like that. I think, as Vader was taunting him, he expected Luke to do something similar to what Anakin did in ROTS, kneel and give himself to the Sith.

I think that the jedi win, but the OP states that the swords are enhanced to resist lightsaber strikes, just to know.

this is a battle of swords. if i had simply said no force abilities then someone would say that the jedi cant enhance their natural speed if i had said they can use their force powers then people would say that they will win via choke or some other power.

so. But thats the thing, the Jedi rely on the force for their swordsmanship.

On second thought, Luke as of ROTJ probably isn't as skilled as Boromir or Aragorn. Although his Force enhanced body and pre cog might make up for some of it, it's not all that far fetched to say that Aragorn or Boromir might be able to beat Luke.

Vader though is a different story.

Precog still wins in the end imo, as the LoTR guys do not have super-speeds fast enough to counter that.

Also of note, it's questionable is either LoTR guy could do much to Vader's armoured/robotic body with their swords.

Luke probably go down, but Vader be left standing at the end.

Let's say that Vader faces Aragorn and Luke faces Boromir

Vader's suit might even be able to completely resist Elendil, since it resisted lightsaber strikes...I think. Vader's robotic limbs combined with his huge command of the Force will grant him strength far surpassing that of Aragorn, so he'll probably knock Aragorn off balance with every strike. Also his suit limits his mobility, he makes up for it with his great Force reserves and the fact that lightsabers have no weight save for the handle. Vader wins handily.

Luke on the other hand would've pwned if this were a later version of him, but as of ROTJ (Return of the Jedi) Luke really isn't as skilled as Boromir. His pre cog is advanced enough to block blaster bolts though, and he is reasonably strong in the Force, allowing him to boost his physical abilities beyond Boromir. I'd say that Luke takes this.
