I was wondering what people thought the top 10 Manliest movies ever made are. They don't have to be GOOD movies to count, just burly rugged movies made for men!

300 for me has to be in the list. Oh how I want all men to have a warrior like body. Yum.

Die hard...it has guns, death and explosions...plus there's naked women...they were on the wall but still...plus there was the naked woman when the terrorists took over the nakatomi plaza

That just means you're homophobic

Glad Fight Club was mentioned, because it is very much geared toward men, thematically, etc.
Pretty much any Schwarzenegger film would count here too, as would a ton of action films.
For me it's more interesting to think about which films have a plot or theme that are geared toward men, perhaps as well as gratuitous violence, scantily-women, and so forth.

I think we can get away with saying that action movies in general are engineered for men. There's nothing i hate more when a studio takes a good guy movie and forces a romantic subplot into the mix just so they can appeal to woman.

that was pretty awesome. I love how it was one of those typical monologues when the bad guy says that the good guy could never kill him in cold blood and turns to walk away, and it looks like its going to be the usual ball-less hero-does-the-pussy(right)-thing and then magnum just blows him away.

Do "guy cry" movies count, or do they have to be shoot-em-ups with a lot of blood?

try anything with charlton heston - but only the first part of the ten commandments.
ben-hur, with all the chariot race-ness and chained to the galleys heroism. aaand the greatest show on earth - receiving a blood transplant from your romantic competition.
on the waterfront, some big marlon brando musclage there.
there are also tons of frank sinatra 'bachelor' movies out there. sinatra is the ultimate playboy, dating fifteen people at a time, all while serenading and cracking jokes with his best friend who happens to play the piano.
oh, and any movie with elvis presley playing himself. he always manages to find some oriental children and either teach them a song or have them teach him a song.
and 300.

Males dont find the prospect of face rape by an arachnoid alien thing terrifying...?
Aliens is uber chock full of manly armour, pules rifles etc...
The Sulacco could have been the offices of FHM, through their sheer manliness.
Still, your observation stands true, when the choice is compared to the rest..
If thiswas unacceptable then First Blood would have to be the replacement.
