John Preston versus Agent Zero. Gun battle.
The fight takes place in an airport hangar, plenty of cover, crates and what not. Let's say it is the hangar from the final shootout scene in "Bad Boys." At night and the hangar is half lit, half darkness.
Preston is armed with his twin pistols, Zero with his twin pistols.
To the death.

Did Preston have agility on the level of Zero?
Rogue Jedi
No, but he does have Gun Kata. I'm on the fence on this one.
Sadako of Girth
THAT'd be a first.....

KingD19
Well, Zero is not a h2h combatant, but he has enhanced agility, killer aim, and was pulling the trigger so fast that a semi-auto was firing like an full-auto.
If he stays away from Preston, I think Zero takes it.
Rogue Jedi
Prestons guns can go full auto, remember that. I wonder how his Gun Kata will deal with such a fast moving opponent.

I remember, and Zero pulls the trigger at full auto speeds.
Rogue Jedi
OK, the question remains. Which is a greater asset? Preston's mastery of Gun Kata, or Zero's athleticism?
KingD19
I'd say Zero's athleticism, from what we've seen he can easily duck behind a crate, then while Preston is expecting him to come from another side, he'll hop 10 feet above the damn thing, and reign down bullets while he's still flying through the air.
Rogue Jedi
And Preston can use Gun Kata to evade, I think.
Robtard
Retards, the lot of you. Preston's gunkata isn't reliant on the speed of bullets, as he managed to to avoid not getting hit when multiple men fired with machine-guns, so it doesn't matter how fast Zero can squeeze his trigger.
Fight starts; they both open fire, Preston's not going to be in the way of Zero's bullets, just what he does. Can Zero say the same about Preston's? Not likely.

True, but it's a lot harder to hit a guy flipping through the air while shooting at you, then it is to hit a guy stuck on the ground.
Rogue Jedi
Mhm. Thread needs more Rob and DDM.

Yeah, that is true. Preston was able to shoot guns behind him/far off to the side, so his aim doesn't seem to be effected much by the unorthodox.
Rogue Jedi
Zero can do the same.

Yeah, not doubting Zero's aim, as it's dead on. The gunkata is the deciding factor in here, imo; it trumps Zero's aim, as Preston simply won't be in the way of the bullet(s).
Now, if he could curve bullets like Wesley, that would counter the gunkata.
Rogue Jedi
One could argue that Gun Kata is based on humans moving at human/peak human speeds. Zero moves faster than this.

Really? I thought it was based on the most probable locations a person or people would be firing from (throw some complex 3D trig in there) and, presto, Gun Kata system of dodging and avoidance was derived.
BruceSkywalker
atm, i am thinking Preston

Yes, that too, but I was referring to an opponent moving at human speeds compared to how fast Zero moves.
