KingD19
Whose John Murdoc and what can he do?

dadudemon
John Murdoch is a character from Dark City. lol. He's the main character.

Dark City is one of the best movies, ever. In my top 20. Watch it, now.

KingD19
Instead of that, how bout you tell me what he can do. It's not like I just have instant access to movies.

the ninjak
1. Murdoch.

2. Andrew. How powerful would John be outside the city anyways?

Placidity
I have not seen Chronicle, but he must be pretty uber to be pitted against Murdoch.

the ninjak
I've only seen parts of Chronicle but from what I've seen Andrew is an advanced Telekinetic freak. His control even allows accurate fast flight.

One has to argue whether John would even hold much power outside the Dark City. Wasn't it stated how the cities centre power source powered their abilities? Or am I thinking of something else?

That's complete and utter bullshit. So much bullshit that you should stop using the internet, now. Now, me telling to stop using the internet is not non-sequitur. That last point should have created an epiphany.

Andrew becasue if I had his TK. The first thing I would do to Murdoch is to shift his internal organs around from within.

Don't call out the fact that I have instant access to movies, but am lazy.

Lestov16
I could understand not wanting to wait to download it, but it's on phuckin youtube! You can access it damn near instantly

KingD19
True, but considering I've never seen or heard of the movie before. I'd have to sit through 1-2 hours to find out what he could do. And wikipedia says that he only fully realized his powers at the end, so I'd have to watch to the very end of the movie to see what he could really do. So while yes, I could access it nearly instantly, finding what I needed to make a judgement would take some time.

You've had days. And it's a damn good movie. It is worth your time to watch it.

KingD19
-sigh- I know the time frame I've had. The point I was making is in my post. And it still stands. Or something.

Your point doesn't "stand". It failed before you even submitted it.

KingD19
Nah.

*Waits days and days before replying back...when he could have watched the film already*

I gave hi ma link and everything. And by the way DDM, you are right, because I watched it today. What a thought-provoking and mesmerizing film, and what an interesting concept. Are we the sum of our memories or is there something more that makes us...us? The effects were frickin amazing as well. What a horribly underrated film. That should be up there with Gump and Saving Private Ryan as one of the best films of the 90's. i'd say it was that decade's "Blade Runner"

AWESOME! Yeah, I agree. I could not believe how good it was. It was actually Jaden and Robtard that suggested I watch it because I liked The Fountain.

Lestov16
I watched it because I've heard about it, I liked Chronicle, I was already planning on watching Akira (also one of the best films I've ever seen), and of course got to see Kiefer. But that movie completely exceeded my expectations. The entire thing was awesome. Put a spin (pardon the pun) on my view of reality.

Lestov16
And speaking of the match, I'm not sure. Was a Murdoch truly telekinetic, or did he just have control over the machines that controlled the environment. Either way, considering we're using Murdock at his most powerful, he had complete control over his abilities at that time thanks to the exposition injection, he's probably gonna win both.

SuperEvil
Didn't Murdoch/Strangers have reality warping powers?

Technically no. They had telepathic control over the machines which controlled the physical environment of the spacecraft they were travelling on and thus could alter it to their mental visualization
