Seen the Blade vs. Elektra thread I'm reminded of how highly regarded Blade is in the MvF. So I thought we'd put him through an MCU gauntlet. All fights are h2h, no armor or weapons. Blade is in standard form, meaning not amped by a fresh drink of blood. He gets healed after every fight. How far does he go?

1. Daredevil
2. Ironfist (allowed to use chi fist)
3. Luke Cage
4. Winter Soldier (not Bucky but Winter Soldier)
5. Captain America
6. Spiderman (Tom Holland) - no spiderwebs
7. Ironman - no weapons or flight but can use AI to assist in fighting
8. Ronan
9. Thor
10. Hulk

If his sword can shred Ironman armor he wins and stops at thor.

He clears the first 6. Iron Man gives him trouble though. If it's the same IM armor from Civil War with no flight or weapons, Blade takes it. The last 2 are a flat out no though. I cant remember Ronan well enough to comment on him.

Stops at 5.

Stops at Ronan.

How does he get past Luke Cage?

Throughout all of his movies, he's hit people hard enough and damaged the surroundings similar to what Cage and Diamondback and Danny(w/IF) have done. He's at least in that strength range. And so far Blade has tanked more damage than Cage has dealt out while fighting Drake and Nomak.

I don't know man. I can't remember any feat from Blade or Nomak that equals Cage shoulder blocking an SUV or Danny pulverizing an entire floor with one hit.

Drake body slammed Blade into the floor so hard it shattered and turned into a crater. And Nomak kicked him through an armored door as well as knocking him around a few more times.

Danny has only pulled off his Season Finale IF one time. I'm talking about the regular uses every other time he does it. Like blowing people backward and knocking doors off hinges.

Drake replicate the floor shatter on Blade and he still has enough energy to get back up. Worst case scenario he can just bring it to a fight of attrition when it comes to Luke.

That bodyslam would be indicative of Drake's strength though, not Blade's. I'm trying to find specific strength feats that would indicate Blade can hurt Cage.

I'll have to review the Nomak kick you mentioned. Can't seem to remember it.

Blade kicked Triple H Vampire through a literal vault door.

When he worked his way through the goons to get to Drake, he was launching
them clear across the lobby and kicking guys straight up into catwalks.

He also kicked Drake a good 30-40 feet, and kicked him so hard he lost control of his shapeshifting and briefly turned into his true form.

Nomak kicked Blade through an armored door, crushed a stone pillar by swinging Blade's face through it, and pushed over a gigantic art fixture that was anchored into the stonework. He also crushed the floor with his foot.


My point though is that Blade can also tank damage above what Cage himself has shown to dish out. The beatings from Nomak and Drake are far higher than anything Cage has done and Blade was dazed, but mostly unharmed through both fights.

That kind of strength and durability combined with the fact that he's a bullet timer with both swords and guns in his standard arsenal means he clears all the way through Spidey for sure. IM is where things get difficult, but he clears that too depending on the suit.

I remember Blade knocking guys through walls in A clip from Trinity, which probably isn't enough to hurt Cage

Diamondback hurt cage in H2H.
DB may be slightly stronger than Blade when using that tech, but Blade has speed and skill above him and certainly has better stamina. It may take a while, but I think Blade can wear Cage down.

I'll also like to point out that having rewatched the fight between Nomak and Blade, Blade to me looks affected by getting beaten around by Nomak. The only clear display of superhuman strength I see is from Nomak. Blade without a doubt has insane damage soak though.

He tends to be inconsistant. At his best, he stomps both WS and Falcon at the same time. At his worst, he loses to Cap and gets stomped by Vulture or Shocker. Strength wise, he leaves people like Cap or Blade far behind. He also wins in durability and agility, not to mention he has the suit helping him. Blades got him in speed and reflexes, but I don't know if thats enough. Most of Blades best feats are with his arsenal too. He still has impressive H2H feats but Spidey makes him struggle. TBH, in pure hand to hand, he'd have an easier time with IMs Civil War suit than Spidey. If he makes it past Spidey, he makes it past IM. Otherwise, he might stop at Spidey.

This is new baby Spidey, without webs and without Spider sense, right? I'll put my money on Blade. Baby Spider-Man couldn't handle Cap so I doubt he'll be able to handle Blade without his most powerful weapons and with so little experience.

I'm guessing Cap with Mjolnir puts him to sleep for a bit, but any other opinions?

IMHO, Blade stops at Iron Fist, who can one him.

Assuming he got past Danny, which is entirely possible especially in anything but a one shot, Cage beats him.
Winter Soldier would beat him, Cap would beat him, Spidey would beat him, Tony would beat him, Ronan, Thor, Hulk, would all beat him.

True, didn't even consider all the newer Defenders stuff that came out after this thread's last post. Danny and Luke got pretty uber from what I remember. Thanks Riv!

I'm in the same corner. As soon as I saw the list I honestly said he's not making it past two, but others are saying he's beating Iron Man. I cant see it.
