Superman has to stop the fight at the end of Thor Ragnarok and save Asgard. Does he succeed?

No, he dies. Superman can't take on Hela or Surtur.

To be honest, I don't know how Hela can be killed while on Asgard. Superman can ragdoll her all he wants and she'll probably just keep healing.

Superman still remains the best superhero movie ever made, full of humor, heart, and an iconic performance by Christopher Reeve as the Man of Steel.
