Just today I found The Hobbit: The desolation of Smaug playing in one of the TV channels. With all the HP threads going arround, i thought this would be interesting.

Albus vs Gandalf the Grey.

Who wins? Why?

Gandalf can call down lightning to his sword, has TK and can create a magical barrier. Can't really remember anything else he does in the movies. Telepathy, I guess, although that is Gandalf the White. I don't think he is versatile enough to deal with all the magic Albus can dish out. The fact that Albus can also apparate makes it even more of a nightmare for Gandalf.

Albus should win this. He should beat Gandalf the White too, imo.

No bad choice here.
A convincing case could be made for either.

Albus destroys him. Far more powerful, better abilities, wiser, and far more versatile.
