An average Ranger is indeed far more powerful than most Jedi/Sith. That gap is only lessen when you take Jedi/Sith from Legends and put them against the average Ranger.

Then if you put the top echelon Rangers against the top Echelon Jedi/Sith in Legends, the Rangers are still more powerful.
