One on one fight.

Round 1: Both are completely unarmed and dressed in civilian clothes.

Round 2: Cap gets his shield and Shang Chi gets the ten rings

Round 3: Cap gets his shield + Mjolnir, Shang Chi gets the ten rings + dragon armor + fight takes place in Ta Lo

Who wins?

KingD19
Does Shang get his Ta Lo powers in all the scenarios? As good as he is, probably the best pure martial artist in the MCU since Daredevil, his stats won't let him take down a serious Steve with just punches and kicks.

He only gets it in the last round since that takes place in Ta Lo and there's no concrete proof those powers work outsidr Ta Lo.

That said, let's assume he has full control of the rings starting from round 2.

Cap in Round 1.
Shang in Round 2.
3 would be a really good fight.

TheVaultDweller
Cap takes Round 1 and Round 3. Shang-Chi is more skilled IMO, but we've seen time and time again that even MCU peak humans simply aren't strong enough to put down a Super Soldier. Round 3 would be a good fight IMO, but the power of Thor should be too much for Shang-Chi to overcome. One of the writers of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings apparently said that Shang-Chi's power with the Rings is comparable to Hulk or Thor, but he needs more feats with the Rings before I'm willing to take that statement seriously.

Shang-Chi takes Round 2. The Ten Rings are pretty powerful and versatile and also seem to augment the wielder's physical stats, negating any advantage Steve normally has.

3 will be a really close fight. I'd give them a split, maybe a small advantage to Cap. Because Shang will definitely get rid of that shield as soon as possible. Between the Rings and his Ta Lo powers, it's going away and Cap's not getting it back.

So Cap only has his skills and Mjolnir. And I could see a full 10 ring defense blocking Mjolnir or knocking it off course. As for the lightning strikes Shang is far faster and more agile than Thanos so I don't see Steve being able to set them up as much since unlike Thor he can't just shoot lightning from the hammer. He has to call it down on specific areas. Also Shang can send Cap flying with just one or two rings.

Shang in 1.
Shang stomps in 2.
Lmao at people mentioning Shang needing more fts with the rings when Shang fts with the rings>>Cap fts with the hammer. Thor fts doesn't transfer over to Cap. Shang wins number 3 as well.

Also, the proof shouldn't be if the rings work outside of that realm (since we obviously seen them mention how powerful the rings were outside of the realm), the burden of proof is on you all to provide evidence that it doesn't. We saw his dad go into a restaurant and use the rings on normal people... shooting blast and sh**

Nobody said the rings don't work outside of Ta Lo. What we're saying is that his air-manipulation capabilities probably don't work outside of Ta Lo since his mom lost those powers once she left.

Cap via curbstomp 10/10

Shang 7/10

Cap 9.5/10

Cap shitstomps round 1

Shang takes care of business round 2

Cap takes care of business round 3

Estacado
So Shang Chi killed a giant soul sucking demon with the rings and Cap got his ass kicked by a Thanos.

Wonder which is more impressive...

cdtm
Mandarin was casually killed by it. Shang had a lot of help, especially from the luck dragon.
