I'll watch anything with Gyllenhaal, solid actor. Plus the nostalgia of this film.
But they should have cast a real actor as the villain. It's like when they cast a rapper in a role and all they do is shit-down the film with their bad acting.

^^^Or slap one of the announcers right before they win an Oscar.

Robtard
Will Smith is more actor than rapper. He's also good in some roles.
Another is Queen Latifah.
Robtard
Haters gonna hate.
Patient_Leech
You know it's probably crazy, but I've never even seen the original.
So I don't know how much interest I have in this. I do find Gyllenhaal to be an incredible actor, though.

Seen something from director Doug Liman, He's boycotting the SXSW premiere of Road House, To Protest Amazon MGM Bypassing Theaters For Prime Streaming Release.
Kazenji
Well yeah, Its all MGM's fault. You spend all that time making a film expecting it to be a cinema release and the studio decides to put it on streaming.
Impediment
This looks laughably bad.
The original is Velveeta cheese but in a good, 80s way.

^^^Agreed.
Still it might be a saving Grace. I can see more ppl sitting at home giving it a chance on a slow day for the lulz than hauling their asses to a theater (and all that entails), to watch something so obviously not great.
Robtard
This wasn't very good, but still watchable. Some fun camera angles in the fight scenes. Story is as formulaic as they come.
Then Conor McGregor shows up and ruins every scene he's talking in. The man is a god-awful actor. Truly.
I know very little on McGregor as I stopped watching MMA before be made a scene. But does he normally walk like he has a fist permanently lodged up his ass?
Patient_Leech
If I ever bother to see this I guess I should see the original first?

Even Brokeback Mountain?
The movie was just a watered down Walker Texas Ranger.

The original is a laughable cheese-fest, but worth watching. It's so VERY 80s.
Kazenji
Seen something from Scott Atkins criticizing the fight scenes for using CGI.
Robtard
There's some CGI used.
Scott Atkins isn't a very good actor, but he should have been cast instead of McGregor.
Robtard
I'll have to youtube that scene. Thanks
