Post the orignal Hebrew translations and I could offer an answer. Because the etymology of the word could provide the insintric value of said text.

This is an interesting link on Genesis 1. Though reading it, it doesn't say replenish. Also, it has somewhat of a different meaning of the other verses.

Hmmm omens. Aren't those suppose to be thought of as superstition and evil?
