This matchup is two rounds.

ROUND ONE - Normal Match: Both are at their strongest incarnations.

ROUND TWO - Movie Match: Ryu and Shang from their respective movies (Kane Kosugi and Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa, respectively) duke it out.

Round one, Ryu clinches a hard win.

Round two, Shang Sung tears him a new one.

Ryu anally rapes Tsung first round, 2nd one I have no idea, never seen DOA movie(heard it sux).

Shang Tsung wins. Flawless victory. Fatality. Animality. Babality. Toasty.

Ryu is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much faster than Tsung, speed blizt ftw.

In the DOA movie, it portrays Hayabusa really badly.

So the movie really does suck?

It had a good premise, but was executed horribly.

In my opinion, Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa made a perfect Shang Tsung.

Tsun'g s badass, yes.

Ryu hand to hand, will put up a fight, considering his above average strength and great speed. Even with a weapon, Tsung will be able to defeat him and/or kill him. I think Tsung can use a weapon as well.

Also, I think Tsung's magic is way better than busa's ninpo.

I honestly wasn't expecting you too vote against Ryu

I vote against Ryu when he obviously loses, or if the opposing character has higher chances, like Shang Tsung in this case.

H2H,, most likely. Against Ryu with any weapon equipped like: Plasma Saber Mk.II and Dark Dragon Blade (which technically would transform him into the Devil Incarnate) Hell no.

Hayabusa wins the first. Don't know about the second.

Shang Tsung wins the second round. The DOA movie portrayed Hayabusa horribly.

Akuma wins this with ease. He just kicks a sub-marine at the duo and crushes them both.

Ryu destroys Tsung first round, for one reason, MK CHARACTERS ARE TOO F*CKING SLOW! They are only normal human speed, Tsung is, amd Hayabusa destroys him. Speed blitz ftw.

Hayabusa could foxtrot and still win. No need for blitzing.

Hayate was wanked to the max in the DOA movie.

However Hayabusa was not portrayed as a weak fighter by any means.

Heck the way Hayabusa dealt with the no-named thugs was cool. And he was the only male character to make it to the semi-finals in a movie designed to make men have instant boners so that is a feat all by itself.

With that said Hayabusa rips Shang Tsung a new one in round 1.

Shang Tsung might beat Hayabusa in movie round 2.

Shang Tsung was badass in the MK movie(one of the only good videogame movies, 2 was terrible).

In terms of Coolness, Shang Tsung in the movie gets 10/10.

But I'm not sure of his power. The MK Movie people really did not seem all that strong.

Agreed. Tsung did not seem that powerful at all. He stole souls after the fighters were defeated. He did not turn into any of the fighters...he just made armors gain life and fight Liu Kang....movie Hayabusa could fight them as well.

Come to think of it movie Tsung did not really show much. But he was cool as ****.

I liked Sub's dome-freeze move. Kang would have been so screwed had it not been for the Kitana hint PIS.

Well, Tsung could also summon ALL the fighters he absorbed to fight Ryu at once.
