Robotech is being made into a live action movie possibly starring Tobey Maguire. Robotech, in my opinion is the second best japanese anime ever.

Finally a live action mech movie and hopefully one thats decent.

Has great potential; so did Transformers, yet it wasn't all it could have been.

Hopefully, Sam Raimi directs.

This is one anime that would work in a western environment. Without receiving ridicule.

Loved 'Robotech' growing up, I hope they can really take this into the more sophisticated direction instead of the Transformers-style cheesefests that were thrown to us from Michael Bay. There really is a lot of potential to make 'Robotech' something big so I hope they do it right!
