I'm just now jumping into the Graphic Novels, so thanks for this, Strangles. It saves me lots of time going to the NBC site.

Personally, as neat as Hana Gitelman's power is, her storyline really bothers me in the webcomics. It seems as if it would be intensely useful to what Mr. Bennet was doing in the show, but went completely unmentioned. Plus, she broke into the house with Matt and Ted in the episode prior to 'The Company Man,' then completely vanished. I agree, Hana's story was really cool, I'd would have liked to see more of it on TV.

I really like her. even though she appeared only twice in the show, her role was important to the overall story, and she is indeed the first hero (she's Wireless, how cool is that)

she's the main character in the webcomics, and thus, she was handle as a true comic character, going everywhere, and anywhere the show couldn't go.

...and she's been the integral part, and protagonist, in the viral campaign online (sorta like the lost experience), which was overall good and entertaining to take part of.

I wish she would have been mention more in the show, but at least she showed up ( to die sad ) in five years gone

Captain REX
Still bothered me that she vanished from a hostage situation with no real explanation.

I don't know what you're smoking REX, but will you please pass it along?

I just re-watched S01E16 - Unexpected and S01E17 - Company Man again, the episodes where they break into HRG's house, because I don't remember her ever being there. Sure enough, Hana was nowhere to be seen. She sent them on the right path in Unexpected, but never went to Bennet's house with Matt and Ted.

Captain REX
...I could have sworn she popped in with dual machine pistols at the end of Unexpected...

Captain REX
For some reason, every time I try to come in here to put that new comic in, I get way sidetracked.

Added now.

51st comic added, "Maya y Alejandro," briefly introducing the newest addition to the Heroes cast.

Is it just me or did the season premiere tell us everything that we see in this graphic novel or what? Nothing really different, other than knowing she has done this before.

All the other graphic novels add to the story, but this one seems kind of redundant now after seeing the episode.

I liked that one.

Strangelove
Me too.

I like this new character. He's a little lighter than the rest of the show.

no pun intended ermm

Quincy
I'm not big on West.

Leave it to me to be the negative Ned, but I felt they stuck with Claire and West for too long in the premiere. I was more interested in what everyone else was doing.

"Are you a robot or an Alien?" .... yeah I thought that whole thing was lame.

Still loved the majority of the episode though

Still loved the majority of the episode though Well Tim Kring mentioned in an interview somewhere that he thought it was asking too much to have so many wildly shifting story arcs, and that the second season would be more focused. That's why they stayed on the Bennets for the majority of the episode.

I think that's a good development.

I too dont like Wes that much, the whole Alien - Robot thing got old and tiring quite fast (much more than "Save the Cheerleader"wink and it's again present in this GN... I can picture him flying around asking everyone he sees that same stupid question " are you robot or an alien"... lame,

but I like where his relationship with Claire can take him...

I think the episode focus to much on their meeting, when, out of all the character's, Hiro and Kaito were much more interesting... but there's a lot of time to have with other characters

Quincy
I guess I was more disappointed with his power. I was hoping for something we hadn't seen before.

Betty for me as well.

Strangelove
I liked The Death of Hana Gitelman

Strangelove
Um, the link for Petrified Lightning isn't completed ermm

Captain REX
Fixed.

My favorites so far have been the Betty four-parter and the one-shot Fathers & Daughters, with Mr. Bennet.

Captain REX
There's another two up, I will add them tomorrow.

The first one, focused on Takezo Kensei, appears to take an artistic, retrospective look at things, rather than the 'Kensei is actually British' look at things.

Tattoo
Another 2? There is only the Takezo one.

However I just noticed that they have added animated versions of the graphic novels. Am I blind or are these a recently added feature?

Captain REX
I noticed that as well. Wasn't sure what to make of it.

In any case, another one up. This one addresses what Molly is going through in her head right now. Rather terrifying for Molly, and probably similar to the nightmares she's been having.

S_D_J
If I'm not mistaken, the animated GN began like 5 GN ago, I haven't check them out though...
...and the other GN it's about the Nissan Rogue... yeah, just advertisement

quick question...

how relevant are the graphic novels to the tv series?

S_D_J

they are relevant to an extend... they're more of a complement to the series.

the GN explains things the show doesn't have time to explain... or they go places were show can't go. They never contradict the show, so they can be consider Canon.... and they always expand upon what happened in the latest episode

Strangelove

stickman618
but not reading the GN's won't make me lose track of the series will it??

Strangelove

S_D_J
nope... I went through the entire first season and never saw one GN...the first one I read was Betty...
it's more of a complement to the show, you learn new things (but they're not entirely needed for the comprehension of the show) or you get to see things that happened in between stories...or you learn more about things that are just mention briefly in the show....like "the liquid man"

Mairuzu
I recommend you read them on your spare time

I also had a feeling that the guy he was fighting was going to have that power as soon as the killed him the second time

Elle got owned. Three times.

Morridini
Anyone know if there is a "timeline" or just a read order for the comics and the show together? Norway is still on season 1 and I don't wanna spoil anything by reading too far in the comics, the newest episode I've seen is Company Man, how far can I thus read?

Bespin Bart
No further than issue #22, Morridini. 'The Company Man' aired the same day that 'Hell's Angel' came out, back in February for us Yanks.

Mairuzu
So arthur petrelli has some sort of healing power big grin

Er, Mairuzu, where did you hear that? says so in elles assignment no? Bob says to elle about claires blood, she can be the next linderman or even the next arthur petrelli

unless they were just refering her to an important person and not power wise...

Captain REX
I'm guessing important person.

NateGreySummers
Also, he wasn't actually referring to the healing properties of her blood, but the stock that she came from. They didn't actually know what her power was, that was actually what Elle's assignment was...

Captain REX
All currently available graphic novels are now catalogued.

And good point, Nate.

Captain REX
We've gotten quite a few new powers out of the most recent comics! Extreme flexibility, enhanced vision, the Sixth Sense, etc.

And by new I mean new to Heroes, not new to the ideas of superpowers.

Phucked Up
I need to view the latest 30 or so graphic novels still. laughing I'm still trying to get caught up with all things internet.

Strangelove

My theory is that even if she's truly dead, she'll have an effect. Nothing's there for nothing in this series.

Captain REX
Indeed, they're building her up quite a bit.

They seem to have a penchant for making power theft a villain thing.
