I had the same thoughts but I also thought that if logan was in a berserker rage he could possibly ignore the pychic attack.
If Grodd is unable to mess with his mind the Wolverine should win.

If he goes in to bezerker rage logan can take but most of the time he gets mind raped.

Flash can vibe intangible and break the speed limit but still gets pwned by an xperienced psychic.

Hell if Max Lord a low lev telepath can own The Great Big Blue Wolvie can get psychimauled too.

Not with Xavier's telepathic shields up.

Grodd has other ways.
