Who was the bigger threat?

Pretty much any version of Surfer can take Hyperion. And unless I miss my guess, Exiles Surfer was basically an evil not-holding-back version of the regular Surfer.

I see this ending like it did for Gladiator. Board through the head.

EX SS wins with a KH giving him maybe a moderate fight at best,

The Exiles were able to fight and actually survive directly fighting KH.

The Exiles were unable to do anything to SS and had to rely on Sabertooth being turned into a herald to stop him.
