I can't recall Sentry ever using his telepathy offensively without the aid of another Telepath/Pseudo Telepath.
It was Mastermind who used Bobs telepathy to mind wipe the entire world. Emma Frost clearly showed that Bob has not learnt how to use/control his telepathy.
