What's your top ten films of 2007. Was going to make a poll but I could only have a limit of 10 options, and that isn't enough. Besides it wouldn't be fair to everyone else.

Can't say mine for sure right now but I will say American Gangster tops my list with I Am Legend coming in second.

I rated it higher because it just made me feel really good, leaving me with a better feeling than the movies rated below it. Also, even though I liked Superbad, some parts annoyed me and thanks for atleast respecting my opinion.

Darth Hord
Good list Darth Martin, mine would be similar to that.

5. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
6. 30 Days of Night
7. I Am Legend

I haven't actually seen much new this year, and most of the stuff that was out in the U.S late last year, is only just coming out here. I saw an advertisement for No Country For Old Men today, it looked OK, but I'm unsure whether it can live up to the book.

As a Greek and Roman Studies major, all I can say about 300 is that, given the opportunity, I would go back in time and murder the ancestors of everyone involved in making that movie and the ancestors of every actor who appeared in that movie to ensure it was never made. 300 was a ****ing farce which trivialized the field I major in and made a complete mockery of one of the most fascinating periods in human history. A historically accurate portrayal of the battle of Thermopylae would have made for a ****ing spectacular movie (in the vein of Saving Private Ryan) but the version we actually got made a sad mockery of one of the most impressive feats of the human spirit to survive against insurmountable odds in human history.

You could have just said it was a shite film.

Wasn't 300 based on a comic book anyway, instead of historical fact...

300 the movie was an adaption of a comic-book. *Fictional* roll eyes (sarcastic)

how many times?...IT'S A VISUAL METAPHOR...it's not meant to be accurate...it's meant to be a spartan soldiers hyperbolic version of what happened...talking themselves up so to speak...hence the complete neglect to mention the thebans and thespians and helots....and the monsterous appearance of some of the persians

I know it's you guy's opinion and everything but where is American Gangster on yall's lists? mad

BoondockSaint
I think there were a lot of "good" movies in 2007, but i think Rescue Dawn and American Gangster were the best (Christian Bale and Denzel Washington may have had something to do with this). Juno is an excellent feel good movie that I'd probably rank third.
That said, there were some good indie films in 2007 - Waitress, Chalk, I'm Not There

Haven't seen Rescue Dawn yet though. sad

SnakeEyes
I felt as though Rescue Dawn was pretty overrated.

With what I had been hearing from some of you guys on KMC, I thought it was going to be among Bale's best work. I thought he did a decent job, but honestly he could've done a lot better.

The movie itself was pretty average. Nothing special at all. By no means bad, but still... just mediocre.

Also: Is Mr. Brooks any good? I've been kind of curious about it. What do you guys think?
