How many books

Does anybody know how many Star Wars books there are? I am writing a paper about Star Wars for school. If I said there are over 100 books that would be accurate, right? What about 200?

Do you want the total number of novels throughout the years or just over the past couple of years?

Young Readers are probably also counted as books: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Novels#Young_readers
But they are usualy under 200 pages long.
