saw "real women have curves" last night with a friend. can't say I was bowled over by it. sort of like a made for tv movie that HBO decided to throw onto the big screen.

it had some good actresses and likeable characters, but came across as pretty trite.

no, they're all hispanic actresses. Lupe Ontiveros is the most recognizable actress.

the star is america ferrer and i believe this is her first film.

I've seen tons of commercials for it.

I haven't seen it yet - but didn't this movie get an ovation at Cannes or one of those pretentious movie showings? I think it looks good!

Regardless of the actresses - this was a TERRIBLE movie and should have been sent straight to television. It was trite and small minded.
