Not one to play fair, upon receiving Ryu's acceptance of a challenge, Kazuya and Jin target Ryu's friend Ken Masters, sending him to the hospital.
With Ryu's friend out of the picture, father and son both think that the match is in the bag.
They are wrong.
At the DOATEC ring, Kazuya and Jin wait for Ryu to enter the ring. The Ansatsuken warrior approaches the ring, then stops.
Kazuya and Jin's taunting stops as the Parasprinter Theme begins to play, signaling the arrival of the last person they would expect to be Ryu's partner.
In a bit of fan service, Ryu Hayabusa appears in his classic Ryukenden uniform, sans mask and cowl, as the arena explodes into cheers. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event; the Ansatsuken warrior joining forces with the Hayabusa superninja.
Turns out that Ryu H. is in this match for a little payback, since Hayate was injured as well by Kazuya. When hefinds out that Ryu is fighting Kazuya and Jin, the two rivals decide to join forces.
The two Ryus face off against the descendants of Jinpachi Mishima. No weapons, no Devil Gene.
