Well it's been this way since the very first MGS game. It's basiclaly written into the character. Ignoring it is like ignoring most of all the MGS games.

Does Naked Snake have enough skill to beat a 7 foot tall guy who can punch with more force than a rocket, tank an explosion, and has a constant charge of 10,000,000 volts running through his body? No.

Does Solid Snake have enough skill to beat a powerful psychic who can read minds, immobilize you, and more? No.

No. ok these guys can do all this shit but cant beat snake i mean dude i can punch through a tank but i cant take out 1 guy i can read minds but cant take this guy i can deflect bullets with my sword but i cant take this guy im a telepath with a metal gear but i cant kill this guy i mean shall i continue or do u get the point snake takes these guys down on a consistent basis i see no reason y he just cant get a break and get credit were credits due. i mean sure the game doest really show him doing anything super human but thats bcuz ur sneakin around takin out guards like any normal military themed stealth game until a cutscene showing u some supersoldier pops up the whole point of these cutscenes being to intimidate the player b4 an impending bossfight i see consistency in snake and not these guys y bcuz despite wut it shows they can do he wins they dont

snakes victories = PIS
he only won against mantis because the controler was plugged into port 2 FFS!!
