This seems more dependant on which series you like better (as far as genre is concerned, DoA and DMC are apples and oranges, but I like both genres), in other words, like you're asking to bring up bias. Personally, I'll spare you the text wall and list it all:

I don't like DoA.
Itagaki's just jealous (and a pissy excuse for a game designer).
IMO Helena's a crappy-playing character, anyway.

Kyrie may not know Pi Gua Quan Wushu, but at least the game series she's from doesn't suck.
