It was a great console, sure the 32X and CD were bad but the stand alone Gen was one of the greatest consoles of all time.

Sonic became one of the most famous icon's in gaming as well thanks to the gen and easily compered with Mario.

The Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast brought me hours of joy and still do. The CD was horrible but their were worse:
