This made me pitch a tent. Can't wait.

QUANTUM OF SOLACE continues the high octane adventures of James Bond (DANIEL CRAIG) in CASINO ROYALE. Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M (JUDI DENCH) interrogate Mr White (JESPER CHRISTENSEN) who reveals the organization which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.More

Okay - did you just work this out now?

Robtard
Yes, I just found out about it. I'm not the movie-connoisseur-gumshoe that you are, I guess.

Next time I want some movie info, I'll look you up at 221B Baker Street.

Read the news once in a while. It is also available on the internet, strangely enough: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7365726.stm

And look before you post, you're insulting your own intelligence:

Wow...

Anyway, looking forwards to it, not that happy on the choice for the Bond girls though. Eva Green was just the best.

I rarely, if ever read entertainment news, pisspants. Just skim through one, maybe two internet movie sites.

Oh shit, I made a repeat thread! The horrors!

when's it out?
Casino Royale was the best Bond since ... well, The Living Daylights.

DC is brilliant as Bond.

oh and shitty title no expression.

Robtard
It was supposed to be out in May, but it was pushed back to November, I believe.

janus77
ah, thanks for the info smile

MildPossession
Haven't they put off filming for a bit at the moment because of some car accident.

Blax_Hydralisk
*sighs*

CR was shit imo... I'm scared thinking about this one.

janus77
seriously?
man I couldn't watch through some of the crap during the Brosnan-era, and I was a Bond fan as a kid, throughout the '80s.

Casino Royale just delivered so much better acting, depth, action (really brilliant stunt choreography, bringing more realism and less outlandishness)... just an altogether better film.

the only thing that redeemed the Bronson-era was Teri Hatcher big grin.

chillmeistergen
Can't bare any Bond film.

Exactly with the invention of Daniel Craig as the new 007,Bond movies have never been better.Earlier we had Brosnan,Connery and Roger Moore but tell me who is pictured to suit James Bond. There might be a whole lot of debates and discussions as to who the best Bond could be ,and there will numerous who would say that craig is the worst cause he is blond. But when it comes to connecting to the audience and that Magnificent screen presence it is Craig,no wonder Casino Royale is the highest getter amongst all bond movies till date.Looking forward to "Quantum of Solace".If Casino Royale was good this would be even better.
As it is the story and snapshots have already started invoking curosity as to what the next 0007 flick would be like.

ragesRemorse
I was never a Bond fan until Casino Royale. I always appreciated the cheese factor of the Bond films, but i couldn't get behind the overall style. The man with the golden gun and tomorrow never dies was aces, but Casino Royale felt almost like a tarentino movie without the over bearing dialogue. I cant wait for Quantum of Solace. I think in the next flick they should have 007 facing off against 001. I mean, if the skill only gets better the lower the numbers go and 007 is already "the badass" i want to see how much more of a badass 001 is.

Seriosuly why the brosnan hate around here

Goldeneye was the last good one before Casino Royle

oh and for Dalton i prefer Licence to kill over The Living Daylights

Some of the Brosnan ones were good it was die another day that killed his shot at bond

I'm guessing you like the novels more

Also with this new film i've read their aiming for action, you know how with casino royale there was some at the start and that poker game not much happen then and then more action near the end.

The character is pants as it stands - without even mentioning Ian Flemings drab novels.

ragesRemorse
I always thought Brosnan made a very good Bond. Other than Goldeneye, however, he didn't have the luxory of being in good Bond movie's. I thought Tomorrow never dies had some of the best action from any bond movie and a leading lady that had potential to be the most memorable. I cant even remember the world is not enough and die another day is not only the worst bond film in my opinion, but also up there with batman and robin BAD

MildPossession
Yeah Brosnan was fine, it was just most of his Bond movies were not, as rages pointed out.

I've never read a Bond book, does it mention Bond's hair colour?

I too got chub reading that, but what excites me the most as to what is in store for us is subtly hinted in this line from the above link where the article states:

"On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world's most important natural resources . . . . "

You know what that means, baby! smokin'

Ha, nice connection with the villain's name.

=Tired Hiker=
It's too obvious, isn't it?

chillmeistergen
Not for a Bond film.

Oh come on, did you see how red Bond's eyes were in the last film? Tell me he wasn't smokin' something. And what better way to expose to the public the benefits of hemp as a natural resource than to make it part of a subplot in a Bond film. Bond has always been cutting edge. In today's failing economy where gas prices are absurd, it is time we learn more and explore how to utilize the oils, the fibres, the medicinal use of hemp for powering automobiles, making clothes, curing aids. Quantum of Solace will launch this campaign. It's perfect for a Bond film.

Robtard
You didn't care for Casino Royale at all, despite that it did break away from the cheesy template of a would-be world dominating villain and the gadgetry was kept to a minimum?

Chilly obviously, as you liked CR, even if only because Daniel Craig took his shirt off.

It would be a pretty good way to reach new audiences, plus funny, yeah. Though I can't see Bond being quite as motivated as usual while off his face, (all the better).

You bring up a good point there. Maybe it would be a good idea for a spy movie spoof starring Leslie Neilson. erm

His shirt?? Dude, he took it all off during that torture scene, remember? And if you pause it at exactly 1hr 32min 57secs into the film, on the DVD version, the US release, you can see a silhouette of his left ball sack.

Mairuzu
awesome

exanda kane
James Bond's not really British. Git.

Ushgarak
Pre-release discussion of this film should take place in the Bond area, thanks.
