Mr. Negative has the symbiote, i thought of that, i just never thought they would go with such a predictable plotline...he's either going to be Anti-Venom or his powers affect Venom and create Anti-Venom.

As for if Anti-Venom will be an Anti-hero instead...well thats alot worse.

Has anyone read Dark orgins yet i want to know if i should run to the shoppe and pick it up...Oh and he did not copy and paste. he sited a specific character I have the previews book. its just i am lazy and was reading darkchylde i just picked up some varaints that inspired me.

I like Jim Lee..and Mark Miller they should do something togther oh and Go read Kick ass and war heros.

Perhaps because he had Cancer and through that lost weight. But in general RMjr draws Venom tall and lean.

Because it was definitely implied on more than one occasion in #569. Here's hoping this is a hint Marvel's going to get around to exactly how OMD/BND fits into continuity.

Well...right now I'd rather get some gasoline and then burn down the part of marvel that does spider-man right now...including the writers and then I take over (somehow) and set everything right...anti venom beats mac and Eddie decides he wants his old symbiote back and becomes venom...there, everybody wins

To me, it seemed the symbiote was going to rejoin with Brock, but Mr. Negative's miracle "cure" caused his body to reject the symbiote the only way it knew how: creating an antithesis to Venom ("Anti-Venom".

Yes exactly the symbiote wanted to leave Mac and rejoin with Brock. Maybe it should have.

I doubt they'll kill of Venom. Anti-Venom, maybe, but not Venom.

And I doubt Eddie in 616 will be Venom again. Maybe after another 5 year period of Gargan/Venom, but not at the end of THIS story.

I no believe Gargan/Venom will remain after all this. At least for the here and now, Gargan IS Venom.

I suspect Venom to be destroyed, but by that i mean, absorbed by anti-Venom, i think Eddie as Anti maybe a permanent fixture to the spider-man series, i think we will see a lot more of Anti-Venom.

Maybe something will happen that will change Brock back to Venom...I mean since he absorbed the venom symbiote maybe some how some way it'll take over again

I hope your wrong, though. Eddie's new personality and the direction they are taking him has made him better than he's been in a long time. How can Marvel make Eddie interesting again as the dude who hates being Venom and wants to kill the symbiote, then say f*ck that and immediately take all that away instantly by going back to the same old done-to-death routine that is old Venom?

I would like him to go back to being Venom myself, but from the way Marvel is directing this NWTD leads me to believe they have a big role for Anti in mind, even after this arc finishes.

I agree. I don't think Eddie will become Venom again. He looks better as Anti Venom and perhaps when the story is over maybe Eddie and Parker will be friends. Also I'm hoping that Eddie will get his own ongoing..

Anyone been reading Dark Origin. It has looked interesting enough to pick up but next issue has piqued my curiosity and may give us new info on the symbiote's home planet. See link for blurb and preview. If anyone does get it, a scan or two on the symbiote origin would be helpful on deciding whether to pick it up.

I forgot a key word in my post. Thanks for the replies. If anyone actually still collects it and does get #4, let me know how it is.

That makes more sense werehawk, as soon as I read it I will post my thoughts.

I read #3 it was ok, going over everything that's been said before is getting a little tedious but i have to say issue 3 is by far the strongest, that's not saying much mind....although i do like the ending.

Could anyone with issue 4 post the few pages after the preview in issue 4 (link above) that show the symbiote on the alien planet? That was the part of the issue that interested me but I couldn't justify $3 for just a few pages.

there is no point for this dark origins crap, it has been done millions of times.

And which one in your opinion is the best origin for venom thats been done ?

well, the first one i quite liked, untill i realized that the whole comic series didn't really have anything to do with the modern books, i then bought the next 2 and then i just gave up.
