By now we've all learned Thanos defeats Odin due to having had more upgrades since the last time they fought. However, Ares gains another power-up every other tuesday, and extra ones the moment they start fighting. Surely logic would dicatate he wins?

What say to this you, the people of KMC?

TricksterPriest
............thumb down Spite. Thanos dies to Odin, just as he dies to Ares here.

Considering Odin is massively more powerful than Ares, no, it's not.

Bullshit.

Great retort.

It's the only one needed for such a statement as yours. Odin who hasn't done any thing uber since the silver age, vs, ares who killed highfather and sits above even zeus and hades. Good luck with your line of thinking.

Ares. Hard.

Barbarian Shams
Even if DC Ares wasn't as powerful or more powerful than Marvel Odin, this fight is just geared towards Ares's favor. The DC version is more or less a true God of War and what does a God of War do to someone?? They go right for the kill in the shortest time possible. Ares wins 8/10.

llagrok
Thanos doesn't have ANYTHING going for him.

Reality warping, end.

llagrok
He's above anyone Thanos has ever killed with his own power.

Thanos beat the Maker...

K?

Drax has it shifty High Father is just a top tier. Thanos has beaten the Maker who is above High Father by far and the Surfer easily.

Thanos is right by mistress deaths side.

llagrok
The maker has no feats.

You seem to THINK she has infinite power, though she hasn't displayed anything.

Erik-Lensherr
You dare doubt cube beings's awsome power ?

What battle feats does High Father have that makes him so great anyways?

Bentley
I invoke Mr. Master so he talks about the Maker!

llagrok
You can think whatever you want, but that doesn't change the fact that she was mentally challenged and beaten through telepathy. Which hemorrhaging from the eyes is a clear sign of. Telepathy won't work on Ares. So how does that affect this battle.

Not to mention Ares beating Hades. That's what, 2 skyfather beings already. Tell me how Thanos fared against skyfather level beings.

llagrok dares all!! Thanos still hurt her and had her on her knees before he mindraped her for the easy win. He also didnt want to ill her to release her godly essence because he could have. Thats how smart he is.

Thanos took on the greatest skyfather level being in comics and it was a stalemate. This was before his end upgrade as well.

llagrok
Stalemate my ass.

Thanos was on his knees as well.

TricksterPriest
Need I mention that Ares is not only god of war, but also god of the dead due to his killing Hades and annexing his realm? stick out tongue

Mr Master
The Maker could have easily destroyed the 616 Universe by contracting the crunch,
on a whim Thanos stated in fact.

The Maker did in fact contain infinite energies,
the essence within (Beyonder) in fact, was/is omnipotent.

Although the Maker had all this potential,
she was vulnerable and far weaker than her potential.

So, the Maker was global warper due to this limitation Beyonder imposed on himself.

So Thanos pwnd a global warper, that was physically vulnerable to harm.

(it's still impressive imo)

How?

Apparently any low level telepath could've beaten her.

I'm going to use one of your moves here, who had the maker killed or beaten that was note worthy?

She had infinite power? OMG. as many times as you ask who have such and such from DC beaten that was noteworthy and then you turn around and say this? confused

llagrok
Not really, she was mentally handicapped.

If she had some feats to back this hype up with, then sure.

The Maker could have imploded the Universe on a whim if it had not gone mad.

However, due to it's madness, which came about for taking on mortal form,
the Maker was not able to achieve her potential,
and instead made her vulnerable and incapable of reaching said potential:

There are different levels of infinity. Maybe i argued one infinite being against another.Id like to hear what my argument was in one of these particular threads so I can defend myself. If there are as many as you claim you shouldnt struggle to bump one.

Mr Master
OFF-Topic!

This is per request, dis-regard for thread purposes.

========================================

In Marvel, there are different levels of infinity: (omnipotence)

http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/6475/kkht2.th.jpg

Kubik says,

"Our power is as nothing to the Celestials"

Kosmos replies,

"But Kubik, do we not possess Infinite Power (Omnipotence)

Kubik retorts,

"Yes, Our might is Infinite. But there are Levels of Infinity"

..............................................................

CONTINUES ...

http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/7586/ccdh3.th.jpg

Kubik finishes:

"Thus are demonstrated two levels of infinity,

there are of course, an infinite number more"

=====================================

Dr Strange corroborates this Marvel fact:

http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/4600/infinitymoremx9.th.jpg

"the very Concept of Infinity is relative,

Numbers are Infinite, so are odd Numbers, yet by definition,

there are Twice as many Numbers as there are odd Numbers ...

One Infinity is included within a larger Infinity"

=====================================

Marvel's claim of levels of Infinity wasn't made up by Marvel,
it's actually based on a real theorem from the real world created by Georg Cantor.

This theorem has been widely accepted as a legitimate theorem since 1891,
even inducted into Princeton's curriculum (like Calculus)

..............................................................

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cantor%27s_theorem

Cantor's Theorem:

"The theorem is named for Georg Cantor, who first stated and proved it."
