RKT is on a power trip, causing destruction and mayhem...the MU heroes have all been defeated, and Gaea has had enough. Although reluctant with what she is going to do, she has to save the earth even at the cost of her son's life. so she calls upon her "other" son, who has merged with the sun itself, Atum the God-eater, to halt the rampaging asgardian.

who takes this?

note: atum can transform into the frightening Demogorge as it is in his powerset to revert to this form when he has absorbed enough energy...

but didnt RKT defeat Those Who Sit Above The Shadow, who are also above skyfathers?

Not really... He went and cut the loom of fate... (I think that was the name of it) which fed back into itself.. and the yddgarsil tree or whatever... basically he destroyed the endless loope that was feeding the powers of the asgardians to those who sat above... He indirectly defeated them... nothing like he attacked them directly... which was stupid as that was how they were defeated... the ones sitting above being the "gods of gods" couldn't stop thor... it was a bad storyline.

Atum eats even skyfathers.. RKT is going downtown...

your right...i remember as thor was about to strike the loom of fate, those who sat above were like yelling "noooooooo" and didnt even defend themselves...bad storyline indeed...

By that time it was apparent that Thor's power was far greater than theirs. They have asserted themselves before, such as when Loki was bullying mutants when they refused to go along with his games, etc but they were clearly out of their depth here.

Desak eventually merged with the Destroyer and had his head knocked off with mjolnir.
