I agree with this post but if he dont get basic knowledge then prime would eventually loose this battle since nothing was able to stop this thor. They had to create a weapon to stop him when some of the most powerful beings in the universe failed.

The gems work better and in ways they are incapable of on their own, when the full IG is assembled.

It still comes down to distracting Thanos or Thor as its a moot point how many gems one has. Surfer tried snatching the gauntlet which imo is no different that snatching one gem or a glove.

The whole point is this is one on one and the only time this tactic was even attempted is when Thanos was distracted.

So in closing this is a one on one battle so Thor wont be distracted and Prime wont pull off his gem imo.
