So, which movies do you guys like more than the OT, if any? And why?

Uh, logical deduction would suggest that I've seen Starship Troopers, and it sucked. And the very thought of two guys touching each other makes me sick. Hence ST is the gayest movie ever, save for gay porn.

If I am not mistaken, Return of the King was the name of the book that came out long before ROTJ.

I have not yet seen the LOTR trilogy really, they all look like the same long movie. That would make me mad also, they obviously ripped that line off.

Remember in the first Harry Potter film, they said something about the Dark Side? When I was in the theatre you can guess what went through my head...

I attempted to broaden my horizons by watching the first HP movie at the theatre....it did nothing for me and was way boring IMO.

My friend dragged me to the latest one saying it would be totally better and I felt the same...did absolutely nothing. The stupid "dual" between that retarded non-intimidating fish looking thing was absolutely retarded. Two people waving wands with crazy CGI everywhere...and everyone saying how awesome it was. I can't handle such a thing.

THe only HP movies that really work well are Prisoner of Azkaban and Gobelt of Fire.

yeah i agree.they're good movies but when you compare them to a new hope or empire strikes back,thats EXACTLY what they are.

I actually like 'em. I don't like them quite as most SW films, but yeah. RotK is a really, really good film... the Fellowship is pretty good... but the Two Towers? Christopher Lee and an awesome fight scene can't save it from being the snorefest it is.

They're all pretty much overrated, though. And even the best of them can get reaaallllyyyy boring at times.

Eww, it's been a while since I last looked at that list properly. I copied and pasted, but I've seen a few of those several times more since I made it and reconsidered. And theres' some I want to add. Most of 'em hold up though. If I hadn't watched Star Wars as much as I have, I'd be saying differently. Seriously, I've killed enjoyment of the movies for myself.

And woah, I've seen Starship Troopers recently, can't recall any guy-on-guy action.

I never really liked Die Hard. I seriously could not watch more than the first half of Die Hard 4 without getting bored and walking away. :/

I like some action movies, though... just not all of them. And the whole "American super marine/cop/soldier/special forces/Samuel L. Jackson must kill evil terrorist who wants to take over the world through an elaborate scheme!" is getting EXTREMELY old.

Those have always been my all time favorites. Star Wars though is my favorite story and saga. That will never change.

I don't know yet, but Dark Knight might be a top contender to knock SW out the box for me. Not the OT mind you, but at least TPM and AoTC. That movie was simply awesome.

I loved the Dark Knight, from start to finish. However, I still find myself liking Spider-Man 2 alot more in terms of superhero movies. That's just me though.

Well see, to me, the more realistic and grimey feel to superhero movies is better. Like in this case, the Joker could be a real guy. Just a crazy with no remorse for killing people. On the flip-side, there could never be a Spider-Man or a Doc Oc or whatever. Which is fine, I like the mutant type movies for what they are, but I'm more drawn to the darker films. Heath Ledger was AMAZING as the Joker.

I don't know why it was laughed at. Because I'm a guy or something and I like Titanic...? So what if it has a romance plot. Even though I didn't mind the whole romance thing, it's not like I have some girly obsession with Leo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet.

I was more intrigued by the aspect of turning the clock back to 1912 and watching the tradegy of people fighting for their lives. How everything seemed so calm and peaceful that in a heartbeat nearly 2000 people would suddenly be facing death. The movie was so ahead of it's time and realistic.

So yes, I love Titanic, and I'm not the least bit ashamed to admit it.

Good for you. To be honest, I thought it was an okay film. I think the flaming is a little undeserved.

Ugh, I couldn't stand Wild Wild West. It's better watching Cartman dance to a non-existent theme of it than sit through that flop. The two alien flicks that preceded it were good, but giant mechanical spiders in the Civil War Era and a poor use of Kevin Kline makes for............. ugh.

I loved it man! I would always watch it years ago at my cousin's house. I haven't seen it in years, I really need to do so becuase of how funny and I just liked it.

Didn't care for it much, either. The combo Sonnenfeld-Smith worked better in MiB.

MIB 1 and 2 was funny I robot with will I liked too but I stop there cause none of them come b4 SW
