Shadowpack vs "Team stretchers"

Good luck to you guys. And you really need it there.

First of all, only "just cause" Blue works as a gopher in Snow White's office, doesn't mean he can go and steal whatever he wishes from there.
Let me remind you the major prep rule:

I'd like to say you that your "prep" is no more legal than say, Leo's use of S'ym in the match against Kandy (the use of Genie=S'ym and he violates "no independent constructs" rule) or Fangirl's use of Hawkman's mace. The dude got freakin' ARRESTED after he stole that stuff from the Major's office when he went to save Pinnochio.
Yes, after that Prince Charming has legalised the usage of that stuff, what you claim may be- MAY BE- probable... too bad when he declared that, the Cloak and the Vorpal Sword have become the standart equipment of Boy Blue, making him at least 20 points instead of 5 you've claimed.

So- massive part of your prep is illegal there. He didn't OWN the stuff in Mayor's office... he STOLE it from there the 1st time he went to save Pinnochio.
Good luck claiming it's his property, guys.

Now to what you're doing with Nimrod.
Growing to 200 ft? Huh? Contrary to what you're trying to state, gigantic Nimrod would be suffering from all kinds of troubles.
http://www.picamatic.com/view/1099096_massweakness/
http://www.picamatic.com/view/1099097_massweakness2/

When his mass increases, he needs to draw all his energy just to compensate for damage- how the hell that translates into becoming stronger while growing bigger? Dude can't withstand his mass increasing.

Also note that attack was INTERNAL, not EXTERNAL... so showings of EXTERNAL durability or Vector's powers won't help you there.

http://www.picamatic.com/view/1099100_Uncanny_X-Men_209_(Large)-16/
http://www.picamatic.com/view/1099102_Uncanny_X-Men_209_](Large)-17/
http://www.picamatic.com/view/1099103_Uncanny_X-Men_209_(Large)-18/
That's what happened right afterwards. Apart from recovery time more than 2 minutes long AFTER his mass returned to normal, he has shown his horrible weakness against amalgamated character (Kitty+Colossus).

Now... to using Kitty's comment as proof that Nimrod can actually create a bunch of sophisticated stuff from scratch. Let's adress that scan the claim originated from:
http://www.picamatic.com/view/1102018___hr_Page_17/
That was the very 1st Nimrod\X-Men encounter and Kitty didn't even know WTF Nimrod was until she tried to phase through it. Lulz at using uneducated random guess as "proof".
A bunch of basic stuff (sound blast, forcefields)+ a TIGHT BLAST OF CONCENTRATED SOUND hitting Juggernaut and resonating through his TP- proof helmet? Hardly a claim justifying Nimrod can create herald-busting tech from scratch.

To sum up the 1st part- huge Nimrod is horribly unstable tech, the only proof for you he can replicate Richards-level tech from scratch is uneducated claim from teenage girl who saw Nimrod for the 1st time, and the part of your prep adressing Boy Blue is illegal (he was prosecuted for stealing the things, and when he got legal access to them, sword\cloak become his standart equipment (sword was even tied to his hand by Dr Swineheart)).

The 2nd part is to be posted soon and it'll adress some lesser parts of their prep. Adressing Nimrod, Vector, the effectivity of our cyberpathical attack and anything else.

The clarification of our lovely host on Boy Blue part of the prep

Cavalier
The intention was actually to not bring the genie into the fight, but to have him amp us.

I'm just remembering as I type this though that Scoob and Leo weren't allowed to summon S'ym... so I can understand if the genie isn't allowed. Not a big deal, he was an afterthought.

As for Blue, that's actually not illegal. Also not at all pertinent to the fight, but entirely legal, as I'll explain in my post.

illadelph12
It's illegal Smurph. I already informed you of that on MSN the other night when you asked me...

Of course... when I talked to you about it, we presented it as a battle scenario, and you pointed out that even though it would be technically under my control, it would still be illegal because the way it went about it's given task would be completely independent of my will.

What I tried to do here was just use it to amp us during prep and leave it at the prep site... but as I was reading Charlotte's objections, I remembered that even simply summoning him would be illegal (as seen with Sym).

Honest mistake.

Blue, which we didn't discuss, isn't illegal... as I'll explain in my post.

Or in the discussion thread, if you prefer.

Cavalier
K, so, I talked it over with Delph.

We don't see eye to eye. I don't think I was called on an existing rule, he was tired of my badgering so he ended with "No."

Anyways...

Enough on that. I'm not going to drag a wasted MSN convo on to KMC. Point being, judges, disregard all Blue-related prep, simply focus on how that was an afterthought to how much we can pwn them with Nimrod.

Tearing through the BS claims

Smurph is acting the way smurphs always act- picking up a bunch of random claims and posing them as issues.

Let's f*cking get to it, people.

Wrong scan? Darling, don't get horribly ridiculous.

If you want to go with more recent examples, you'll get it- Trinity #13. Her workstation is shown as being the SAME (or at least looking the same) Brainiac adresses in the scan I've posted.
http://www.picamatic.com/view/1106100_Trinity13p15-16/

Those "unsignificant sattelites" were far more advanced than anything Nimrod has ever hacked. Forge's tech protected by lamest password ever=\=great tecnopathical feat.

Karima has interacted with tech I'd hardly call "run on the mill"- how'bout TIME STASIS technology?
http://www.picamatic.com/view/1106103_X-Men_#197_005/

As advanced as a toaster? Lulz at Smurph. That's Cable's tech and Children of Vault tech (roughly the analogue of New Genesis tech as Cable is using Shi'ar and Celestial tech)- borrowing a piece of tech here and there won't be too timeconsuming especially since the process was done twice in two previous rounds.

The database with samples is there. That and a couple of claims below are horribly meaningless and based on a bunch of wrong assumptions about how computer viruses work.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_virus#Infection_strategies

A virus must be executed to work. As long as it's left untouched (Saraswati isn't retarded to execute viruses in her own system), it's totally harmless. As I've said, we're bringing a couple of external hard drives in there.

The "dude with laptop" has better technopathic feats than Nimrod is. I've posted the scan out of context and I'm sorry for that. Hate quoting my own posts, but...

What he does there is comparing two data streams to map and locate a person in timestream. That helps to defend against viruses how?
http://www.picamatic.com/view/1098775_Birds_of_Prey_030-07/
Here Oracle does just the same Nimrod does in that scan of yours. Tracking Black Canary in the timestream following her signature (broadcasting frequency in that case).

Reed's smarts won't help as well, as Barbara is as capable as a hacker\technopath can be without getting actual superpowers. Here she's trashing Brainiac, a dude who's smarter than Reed.

The global virus attack was executed by said "dude with laptop". He also managed to save samples of viruses Oracle infected into his systems and send it back to her. So in that scan she does what you claim would happen- deflects her OWN viral attack backfiring.
http://www.picamatic.com/view/1071196_BirdsofPrey111-014/
http://www.picamatic.com/view/1071249_BirdsofPrey111-015/

As for gathering the software that's already there- I believe that it's utterly possible in 4 minutes.

We're using EXTERNAL hard drive- one of multiple ones in Oracle's sytstems. The viral package isn't on main hard drive but on one of two secondary ones we're bringing in the battle (one containing viruses and another one- specs on weaponry). Have you ever connected the HD from another computer to your own?
Cause Karima did:
http://www.picamatic.com/view/987025_X-Men_200_TheSaint-Dizzy-Megan)_pg012/

As for "not backfiring"- there's a protective firewall established. Also a much lesser cyberpath than Karima- Sasha Bordeaux- managed to do that just fine.

Touching the emulators' thingy- Karima Shapandar and Sasha Bordeaux have one thing in common- just like Sasha worked under the same OS as Brother Eye, Karima, being Omega Sentinel, has the same OS as Nimrod.

One of pecularities of that OS is interferring with lesser operational systems just fine. It has no problems understanding documents made under Windows OS for example.
http://www.picamatic.com/view/1106294_Excalibur08-09/

So decoder might not even be necessary and frankly speaking is a non-issue (which Smurph, as usually, is trying to present as an issue while his own plan is sufferning from all kinds of disorders I'll present later). The viruses would be delievered just fine without it. And since Nimrod wasn't that great in technopathic part (I've adressed it a bit above), they'll work just fine. Moving on.

Since we've touched one of those external HDs, I'd also adress the one I've talked about in part of my prep regarding weaponry.
http://www.picamatic.com/view/1106303_BirdsofPrey111-008/
There are multiple hard drives present. The one Calculator tried to get from Mr Cross was one of them.

The data on weaponry I've adressed was used to instruct and guide Oracle's private spy, Infinity, in search of real deals.

Once we've found that growing huge in no way amplifies Nimrod's power output (mass increase weakens and damages him)... HOW THE HELL YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO USE NIMROD TO CREATE TECH>>>>>TECHNOLOGY CAP FOR THE TOURNEY?

That's what you're doing by having Nimrod to create a bunch of herald-busting\planet-busting technology...nice way around weaponry cap. Too bad it's leading to dead end- Nimrod's power level is not increasing with his mass- on the contrary, he has to draw more energy to support his increasing mass.
I'll post those scans once again to bury your so-called "prep".

http://www.picamatic.com/view/1099097_massweakness2/

Omnidirectional broadcast of attacks with very small radius that were shown as beams? Never happened on panel and is unlikely to happen in a tourney.

One uneducated opinion of impressed child not knowing who Nimrod is is a weak ground to support your claim that contradicts every single appearance of Nimrod up to present day. Either he's capable on moon-busting power you claim for him in your prep and thus illegal, or your prep regarding that is illegal.

Leaving what? One overrated giant robot who can barely withstand his own weight vs three of my amalgams who can hurt him in multiple ways.

Truth hurts even Smurphs.

Even going off of the assumption that you HAVE the tech (which is unsupported), believing that you have ENOUGH of the tech (which is a complete leap of faith), actually humoring the belief that you can even interact with the tech (it's from a different planet from a different universe from a partially different timeline...)...

How on earth are you just going to replace your hard drive, modem and computer processor with this technology?

When his mass increases, he needs to draw all his energy just to compensate for damage- how the hell that translates into becoming stronger while growing bigger? Dude can't withstand his mass increasing.

Also note that attack was INTERNAL, not EXTERNAL... so showings of EXTERNAL durability or Vector's powers won't help you there.

Are...you serious? confused Pym particles allow anything to grow proportionally. You are using a mass/weight increasing attack, where atoms just become more heavy, then actually growing to compensate. It is NOT the same thing. Besides, you get all strengths in an amalgamation smile

Most ill concocted attack I've ever heard of.

You see, Pym particles also increase energy proportionately as well as mass. In those scans, only mass is being increased, so Nimrod has to direct all of his energy to simply keeping himself up.

It's like a 60 foot human vs. a human that simply weighs as much as a 60 foot human would.

The 60 foot human has proportionate energy reserves to keep himself up as easily as if he were 5 feet tall with proportionate energy reserves.

On the other hand, the normal sized human that simply has increased weight doesn't have the increased energy reserves, so he has to spend all his energy keeping himself aloft.

Exact same scenario.

We KNOW that growing via pym particles increases energy reserves, because Hank can walk once grown as easily as he could prior to growing.

Nimrod has adapted to attacks based on super powers all throughout his career. Its his classic thing to do: adapting...adapting. He can adapt to anything, change shape (he has shapeshifted), and on top of that he has complete molecular control:
http://img513.imageshack.us/my.php?image=uxm194page21mf5.jpg

ALSO, keep in mind that being that Nimrod can do such things, and now REED RICHARDS is in the mind department, do you REALLY think for one single SECOND that Nimrod cannot be all that he can be? laughing Reed Richards = Smartest man in comics. Which also gives credence to when I say: WHY IN THE HELL WOULD WE OPEN YOUR VIRUSES? laughing you say:

Thank you for that, it made it easier to convince judges of the absolute truth. (if you could ever even do all the prep you have laughing out loud )

Lets keep on with Nimrod, and show something that I think should take some steam outta your sails:
http://img89.imageshack.us/my.php?image=newxmen02505da9.jpg

That is Nimrod tech used to stop Psi powers. Mixed with Reed's brain, that can be converted into a total PSI power stop (except our own), meaning you would have no TP or fake TK. Also, you are using scans that are not canon (I swear you used "The End" scans). So in the end? No Psi powers for you.

Anyways, thanks to Nimrods ability to shapeshift and adapt his personal weaponry we will have the weaponry we want. Why is that? Because we are not creating weapons then simply adding them to him, he IS the weapon. We amped up our CHARACTER. No tech rule applied smile. Btw, all that weaponry? It would totally pwn you into next year.

That brings us to Vector

I am not sure you understand the concept of amalgamation. Vectors powers are now a part of Nimrods systems, and Nimrod can do full omni directional attacks. I've proven this in scans before. Therefore, Vectors full force repelling blast will be omni directionally distributed.

Also, no one was claiming that Vector would protect against TP, Nimrod did that for us. (as a sidenote, charlotte sucks at interpreting scans...that Leader scan? Is she serious? He did nothing). He is our pure offensive force.

Lets move on to Reed

He brings something interesting to the table: We have a giant Nimrod who can STRETCH. Think about that. We can get even BIGGER than before. Plus with Reed's smarts, anything we want to do is possible. Show me an instance where Reed cannot do something (besides turning Ben into a human), and I'll show you 20 where he does.

Face it, Reed>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Oracle in EVERY single way.

Offensive Measures
Our strategy is very simple: Offensively obliterate the other team out of existence. We have done so very very elegantly to say the least.

In the End? We win. Game, set, match.

Shuffle a new deck, dealer.

All human energy is amplified. Mechanical energy is amplified. Chemical energy is amplified. Potential energy is amplified.

Did you not see him easily switch from one beam attack and develop a particle beam in between panels?

He can make new attacks that instantly- he can adapt to teleporters, phasers, the Juggernaut instantly... we have whole minutes to make tech that he already has the schematics for, in his head.

And on his own, he's not shown moon-busting power. But he can when Hank exponentially grows his energy reserves.

We have Reed's durability with Nimrod's durability with Nimrod's adapting with Nimrod's healing...

Nimrod put together his entire body in one panel. And then he left, probably due to having a much smaller mass now... but we have him amalgamated with Hank, who can multiply any mass (or energy reserve)... so we can infinite heal.

--------------------------------------

We have schematics for a missile that took out the Silver Surfer.

An energy weapon that overpowered Magneto.

A cannon capable of blowing up a small moon (when small sized... we'll have a bigger version).

Nimrod himself has insta-developed weapons that made the Juggernaut look like Rhino.

Our method of creating these weapons is entirely legal.
Our method of gaining the necessary power is entirely possible, and proven by every time that Hank has grown.
We have the schematics DL'd into Nimrod, and we have a brain that is Nimrod+Reed Richards... we can make these instantly.

We'll be reposting all the references that I made in this post later... his adapting, his healing, etc.

We have a battle plan that takes out Charlotte instantly while she's trying to establish contact with Nimrod and DL some viruses into him...

We've already blown her team to kingdom come.

In the end, we win based on the ability to do devastating damage. It is our immediate offense, in all its varied ways, that wins us this match. We are a giant arsenal of weaponry with our missile that took out the Silver Surfer, our energy weapon that overpowered Magneto, and a cannon capable of blowing up a small moon (when small sized... we'll have a bigger version).

Nimrod himself has insta-developed weapons that made the Juggernaut look like Rhino, and now imagine what he can do with our increased physical and mental capacities which are thanks to Reed. Reed gives us the ability to create these weapons, and beat you into next week.

Speaking in plain English, we demolish her team. Why? Partly because her plan sucks, and mostly because she has no defense for our incredible offense.

This is also because of the fact that she cannot read scans correctly, so wrongly describes a scan for her own agenda. And I'm talking about falsifying them so much that certain events do not even take place in the scans she references.

As for her own offensive measures, we have Reed + Nimrod which gives us the smartest man in any room, and FUTURE technology. Her virus attack would be like Polio to someone with a vaccine for it. Plus, we would have to, as she said so politely, open the file (which we would not do).

Case in point? We win. Plain and simple. Like I said before:

Game, set, match.

This match was very close. I found myself going back and re-checking each point and counter point that was presented over and over again to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Upon final analysis, though both plans offer a lot of supposition and call for some suspension of disbelief to one degree or another, I have to vote for Charlotte's plan as I don't feel BDub/Scoob have adequate defenses for the computer virus attack with their highly tech based amalgam (also not accounting for their genie endowed defenses being removed due to the rule violation), and Charlotte also cast enough doubt in my mind that Nimrod, even enlarged to gigantic proportions, would not be capable of producing the power output for all of the various weaponry configurations and attacks that BDub/Smurph presented since no member of the amalgamation save for Vector brings any kind of energy projection/manipulation powers to the table at all, and Vector only brings concussive blasts of TK for repelling matter/energy at that. Very close match though.

Judge's Vote: Charlotte

It's not my fault ... I kept trying to get him to change his plan but he was all "you're not even involved in this match so I'm not listening"

sad
