Mr Zero
Today is the day of the Aaaargh! My eyes! film festival here in London. Why have you not heard of this? Because I just invented it yesterday - stop interrupting with your stupid questions. My arm sprain has been acting up again these last few weeks so I've had to put my brace back on, so i can't draw or sculpt or do anything else one handed.

I'm too lazy to get dressed and go out - so I decided to have the AME film fest. I have stacked up all the DVDs I bought in the last few days and I'm going to watch most of them today. The only problem is I can't decide which order - so after scratching me head for a while i thought I'd throw it to the floor.*
Here's the list. What do I watch first?
Once I've seen it I'll come back for the next - and so on... what fun!
Donnie Darko - The Directors Cut
SPACED the 3 disk collectors Edition
The Martian Chronicles
The Adventures of Robin Hood (Errol Flyn)
Once upon a time in the West
Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein double bill
Sunrise ( F.W. Murnau - 1927 )
The African Queen
Tipping the Velvet (3 part BBC adaptation)
Reservoir Dogs SE
The complete Ripping Yarns (Michael Palin and Terry Jones)
* I reserve the right to ignore suggestions from people I don't like, newbies and assholes. which pretty much covers all of you.
D-Double
Frankenstein. Party on Zero.
Mr Zero
Excellent! That's what i would have picked myself for an early Saturday morning treat. Nice work...
Clovie
am i a$$hole or newbie? schmoll
i haven't seen any of those movies, so do what you want
*post to be ignored*

eggmayo
i did something akin to this once - 6 hours straight of tarantino movies. i woke up feeling hungover.
BadKitty
defiantly, number one...hmmm next I think should be The Martian Chronicles
sci-fi would be a good round up film!

D-Double
Who was in that? It sounds cool.
BadKitty
well I seem to remember it being on the sci-fi channel as a mini series and it had rock hudson and roddy mcdowall(so cool) but I didn't get to watch it...
was it a thriller type sci-fi movie mr.zero?
Mr Zero
Frankenstein completed; I love that movie - i think it was the first horror movie I was ever allowed to watch: I saw it, Dracula and the Wolfman in one fright-night style sitting when i was around 8 yrs old. I had to hide how scared I was from them till it was over. Didnt sleep for a month! Good times.
Martian Chronicles is an 80's miniseries TV adaptation of classic Ray Bradbury Sci-Fi. Lousy special fx and bad clothing, but Rock Hudson, Darren McGavin, Bernie Casey & Roddy McDowell. Niiiice. It's something of a fondly remembered classic - one of those "hey did you ever see..." things that crops up in nerdy pup conversation. I'm worried that it may have dated badly, but - despite the fact that it's almost 5 hours long I'm going to at least begin watching it next. Thanks to BK.
Syren
Hmm, I can't decide between Donnie, Reservoir Dogs and Tipping The Velvet. All hold their individual appeal........
Unholy_Cheese
I Looooooooove that region 2 resovoir dogs covertouched
Syren
It is hot, for a cover droolio
Mr Zero
Neither - you are a respected veteran.... I tip the zero hat to you!
You haven't seen any of these? Donnie Darko & Reservoir Dogs are modern classics - and The African Queen.. Bogie* and Hepburn directed by Huston - can it be that people breathe who have not seen this film? Oh the youth of today - I do not understand!
*winning an oscar!
Mr Zero
Without going into too much detail - Im hoping to avoid tipping the velvet as my good arm is in a brace.
Syren
You got my meaning there Mr Z, I apologise for my total lack of consideration

Elessea
I've never seen any of them...
Vampy
Reservoir Dogs
makes me want to watch it too... *goes off to rent the movie*
shellie
The Adventures of Robin Hood (Errol Flyn) , always a good choice .
Elessea
I like Robin Hood

though i've never seen taht particular version

furryman
Did you not get the hologram box-cover for Donnie Darko DC? It's lush!

Deathblow
What a beautifully random selection
I use to do that kind of thing all the time when I broke my arm, cept it wasn't as well planned as this. I'd just close my eyes and pick out the first DVD I touched. There really is nothing like watching Toy Story back to back with Battle Royale.
Mr Zero
Yes i did , but since it's a lenticular postcard and a bunch of card, I slipped the postcard inside the DVD cover case and binned the rest. I'm no purist!
Martian Chronicles was sweet sweet sci-fi nostalgia, but 2 hours is enough retro 80's clothing for me - i'll save the rest for Sunday.
I was going to disregard all the suggestions and say "ok - next person to post" but its Vampy, and who can ignore her? It would take a stronger man than me thats for sure. Plus I've been itching to watch the Reservoir Dogs SE since I got my first copy, which I ended up giving away to someone who got over excited when they saw the cover. Common occurrence it seems!
Wildness! I haven't seen Dogs since it 1st came out at the cinema - I tend to leave distance between viewings of films that I dig-big. This will only be my second time around with the RD crew - super happy fun!
Vampy if you didn't manage to rent it you can swim over and watch it with me - The downside is that it's starting in 10 mins and the AME film festival has a strictly "no late admissions" policy. Best get your freak on.
Vampy
if you pay for the place ticket
cause they didn't have it

furryman
I thought the Res Dogs SE cover was orgasmic.. then I saw The Untouchables SE DVDdroolio
A4E
lol great idea!! i once had a day like that i bought like ten packs of popcorn and watched movies all day.. i saw
the matrix II
Cambridge Spies
JB LALD
time cop
40 days and 40 nigths
paycheck
the ring
kill bill
matchstick men
i was reallyproud of my self

Nazgulinthedark
i havent heard of any of those movies, cept robin hood, which i havent seen...so watch robin hood cause the disney cartoon version is cool.
BadKitty
ohh I'm so excited he's watching reservoir dogs right now! I swear that movie gets better with each viewing!
maybe after RD you should watch Once upon a time in the West
more gun slinging action

Mr Zero
Ah! Dogs. My confusion about this film has always been that other people talked about it being over-the-top and ultra-violent. To me it still looks like a pared down minimalist exercise in understatement. Saw a touch of Riddley Scott in QT's work this time round that I hadn't seen before. I'll watch it again in another 10 years.
Gotta say the SE vocal track is a disappointment - it's a montage of interviews rather than a dedicated commentary. I'll do the disk 2 docos some other time.
Packaging still kicks assss tho. Bow down before R2 RD SE.
All previous suggestions/bets are off -I'm taking a break to have a shower and some food. 1st vote i see on my return is the one that counts. Assuming anyone still cares ?
shellie
The Adventures of Robin Hood (Errol Flyn) if you've not watched it yet .
Mr Zero
I'm going to shave my goatee into a Flyn style affair and settle down to buckle my swash with this much - loved classic.
Syren
droolio
Make me pics thank you please.
Mr Zero
Much as i love the Depp in POTC, Flynn bucked swash like no other in this film and it will never be bettered. how could it? "what? No greeting from you Sir Guy?" Flynn playing Robin Hood as Peter Pan is priceless.
BadKitty
mmm pics of mr.zero
when can we get the rest of that sweet pic?
Mr Zero
once I get a haircut and a facelift. however for $7 a month you can join my peek-a-boo webcam site.
lil bitchiness
*joins the site*
eggmayo
peek-a-boo webcam... classy
shellie
facelift ? HA !....you need a facelift like i need a whole in my head .
Raz
Theres a 3 disc collectors version of Spaced??? I HAVE to buy this!
lil bitchiness
Yeah...I think he should flaunt his new found sexiness with the ladies arround KMC. Even BK thinks hes cute, and shes the sexiest lady here droolio
Mr Zero
The third disk is "only" new docos and extras - but it's soooo worth having. I gave away my season 1&2 disks just so I could justify buying this new set. Made my ex very happy - and suspicious!
shellie
ive not seen a pic of BK yet

i feel deprived....
Mr Zero is sexy......agreed.
Mr Zero
Which is why I email her all the shirtless pouty manslut pics and you guys get nuffin while she gets.. er..zero.
In truth - their will be no flauntin' - I'm just not the type*.
*Tho I was an artists model for a few years so the flauntin' evidence is out there somwhere.... hiding...
Clovie
i received some respect touched
i don't recall watching it. maybe i just don't know original titles

shellie
*shrugs*....used to gettin nuffin anyhow
lil bitchiness
You just love to show off, dont you. In all other circumstances id say something shitty, but for some reason, i really cant anymore when Im talking to you. Its rather peculiar.
Mr Zero
I'm being accused of showing off because i'm shy and modest?
Damn - you're some kinda harsh. I'm so hurt I almost used a smiley.
lil bitchiness
Quit saying you're hurt, because you're making me feel bad.
Im even ok with admitting im wrong to you <---see that is very wrong and shouldnt be happening.
Especially considering all the threads you made about my closing statements and threads. I should be all ''grrrr'' at you, but im not!
You are likable, and that shouldnt be either,
ash007
indeed.
Well yesterday i watched all 4 Superman movies. It was kind of a shock think that Chris Reeves his dead, but me and my mates raised a glass to him.
Hey Mr Zero watch the Godfather trilogy if you have it

lil bitchiness

Its one of my favourite movies of all time. Al Pacino is such an amazing actor! And one of my favourite.
BadKitty

D-Double
