The greatest unrealized sitcom idea of all time

I was listening to old episodes of the Ken P D Snydecast last night and could not stop laughing as Ken and Dana fleshed out the funniest idea for a sitcom ever.

The show is called Living Large. It has all the cliche, corny typical sitcom plots except it stars a man weighing between 1000 and 1500 lbs. All the action takes place in the living room of his house since that's where his bed is and he can't move at all. Nobody ever acknowledges how fat and gross he is on the show. It starts with him being a bachelor on the dating circuit and by mid second season he is a married man who is cheating on his wife with 10 other women. The sitcom is filmed in front of a live studio audience who cheer enthusiastically as the lead is brought onstage with a forklift despite the disgusting smell that immediately spreads across the sound stage.

Not as original, Seinfeld fan. See the more the actors weigh, the more original and funny it is so you just want fat ppl in your sitcom

If there was such a show, it would be the only sitcom I'd actually watch on TV.

Darth Jello
Can you imagine being greeted by the star if you were in the studio audience? He would like, wave at you and spin around the stage on his forklift going "beep, beep, beep," as it backed up. They mentioned there was already a British series that was all set in one room but I don't recall what it is.

i did to. and it sucks. im fat. and in my book fat is a race.
your raciest! no expression

Darth Jello
Well then you'd love the fact that in the podcast they posited the question of when a spouse becomes a zoo keeper. Keeping in mind of course that Dana Snyder is around 210 lbs and Ken is easily well into the high 300's

**** you erm

One Free Man
i've got a better idea.

there's the mom who is kind of like the straight man and only does jokes for insanely out of character moments and kind of endures the shenanigans of her immediate family.

There's the dad who is kind of a doofus, but still endures some of the shenanigans of his sons. He is a bit of a dork and stereotypes a male american in his middle ages.

There's the kids who are always making jokes a little to old for them and performing hilarious shenanigans and stupid mistakes to be corrected by the parents and get life lessons.

The end of every show has some sort of moral.

Dude, I think Kirk Cameron is too strung out on Jesus to come back to television.

One Free Man
actually i was describing the three greats: Cosby show, home improvement, and brady bunch.

Darth Jello
Well according to Ken and Dana, this show would have all of that. Just in one room with a guy weighing 1500 lbs.

I guess I should provide a link for those too lazy to look the Ken P D Snydecast up on itunes.

http://www.quickstopentertainment.com/category/ken-pd-snydecast/page/4/

It's discussed in Episode 33: A Total Eclipse of the Heart, Episode 34: Cabin Fever, and Episode 36: The Snydes
