Does anyone on this forum own or already owned a Monitor Lizard? If someone own or has owned, can you tell me how they are, their size and their behaviour.

For those who doesn't know what Monitor Lizards are: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monitor_lizard

I have a 10 inch lizard.

He likes to be massaged and rubbed until he vomits.

They're one of the few "pet" lizards with very low tolerance for humans & being handled. Definitely not a pet for a 1st timer.
They will treat your hand as either food or threat, even the smaller species are capable of ripping a finger off.

And you need to maintain a very high heat in their enclosures, ideally they should be caged outdoors.
