Yep, you heard that right. Finally, the return of the classic boxing series made by Nintendo has finally happened. The newest Punch-Out!! game is set to be released on the Wii, starring Little Mac once again, as well as return of other familiar faces.

It's good to see a new Punch-Out!! game afterall these years. This is my favorite Nintendo and boxing series and I played the heck out of it on the NES and Super NES versions (as a matter of fact, I got both of them). I can't wait.

To be honest, I kind of like this more than all the other Nintendo titles (except for Smash Bros. but I like them both equally).

And just to think, this started off as a rumor about a year before the Wii was released.

About time they revived this game series.

That's VERY unlikely. There weren't any in the previous games.

And yeah, the game looks really fun, just like I expected.

I expected less cartoony kinda graphics. More realistic and detailed, like, what you'd see in a very detailed comic book, but evenso, better.

What in the world...? Punch-Out was never realistic to begin with. It's always had a cartoony look, just like nearly all of Nintendo's franchises. Making it realistic would be a terrible idea.

Yeah, you can't expect sports games made by Nintendo to be realistic.

It turns out that the boxer in Super Punch-Out!! was also Little Mac, according to Nintendo.

This looks fun.

I was looking forward to a game like this. I always got frustrated with Night Fights (or whatever that game was) fo 360...because the controls were not responsive enough. (I bet the game without problems...but...still, I didn't like the controls.)

Darn, that Giga Mac could have been Little Mac's Final Smash!

I'm still mad at Nintendo for not making him a playable character and only making him an Assist Trophy.

Well, you should be glad that Nintendo cared about him enough to include him in the game.

Besides, he might be playable in the next game in the SSB series.

Yes, I am glad of that but I truly don't see how he missed out as a playable character. I really would like Nintendo to explain why.

Not yet, I don't think. There have been two more characters confirmed: Bear Hugger and Don Flamenco.

Great Tiger might be an interesting opponent to fight.

Piston Honda...err...Hondo is on the website, along with Bear Hugger.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if Sony or Microsoft had their own boxing games.

I don't know, but I still can't wait to play this game.

Also, one of my favorite SPO characters (Aran Ryan) is also confirmed.

I didn't think he'd be in so I'm really excited about that. He always gave me a hard time when I first fought him but he was fun to fight.

eh i just hate only being able to play as on person in multiplayer games. atleast give a different skin

That's pretty cool, and I had a feeling that a Nintendo character was going to make a cameo since Mario was the referee in one (or both) of the prequels.

Donkey Kong wasn't a bad choice.

I got my copy yesterday. It brought back good memories. Damn indian guy beat me up. Hes a bit different than last time. One thing the game has that its kinda cool is the Practice Mode. It lets u practice against an opponent before u actually fight him.

I got it yesterday. I am crossed between it being very good but a little disapointed. I didn't loose for the first time until I fought Don flamingo. Also the later fights, it took me barely 1 match with the top guys before I had their styles pegged. I also found sandman and super macho man easier than aaran ryan and bald bull. When I was younger it took me a little while before I mastered super punch out, Hell to this day the original Mike Tysons punch out still gives me problems even though I have beaten it before. This one just seemed a little too easy. I will check out the faster modes though.

I got it yesterday. It's really good game. Quite fun...and funny at times too. My first loss was also Don Flamenco.

Did you play Title Defense yet?

Aaran Ryan kicked my ass the 2 times I tried it. I let my kids play the game for the most part. Hopefully Ill get a chance to play over the weekend. Did u guys tried the challenges on the Exchition area?

I only tried one challenge and that was against Glass Joe. I'm now trying to beat the Title Defense mode.

And yeah, Aran Ryan was pretty tough but it's not hard to figure out how to beat him.

Did you play Title Defense yet? I just did, Now its getting really fun. Thats the punch out I remember. Right now Im up to bear hugger. Hes a pain in ass now. Hippo was too in title mode until you figure out his weakness, then he becomes easy pickings.
