Actually Shadow King, there supposedly *is* a time traveller in this movie - specifically, the enigmatic Marcus Wright (played by Sam Worthington), whose backstory is being shrouded in mystery ...

i'm guessing no one has'nt the new trailer.

For those that haven't seen the new trailer, you can view it in standard and HD here.

The only thing that ruins the trailer for me is the choice of music played. I would of chosen something more dramatic. That last explosion, which has been taken from T3, kinda ruins it for me as well as I know where it's from and it's use is presently so quickly. Apart from that the trailer does a good job of explaining what to expect from the film.

That could be one reason. Another reason is that the future in the movie shows Skynet being far more advanced than anticipated so early on since Judgement Day. For example, Skynet have created the T-800 much sooner, and of course Connor and co aren't prepared for this.

I reakon its a different timeline to what Kyle Reese grew up with in Terminator 1 that or its been altered

Another example like this is with DBZ how Trunks goes back to the past to warn everyone of just two androids but there were more.

Is Kyle Reese going to be present in the movie? His character development is just as important as John Conner's

Yeah Reese will be in the movie and I think he's in it for quite a bit of time. For those who don't know, you can see him in the trailer.

Does he resemble Michael Beihn at all?

Anton Yelchin is a good actor (you can check him out as Chekov in the Star Trek movie - which I was luckly enough to watch last week) and we've had many actors replacing others for characters in the Termiantor series, so I think whether he resembles Biehn or not shouldn't effect his performance or the film itself.

ok in t1 reese says that the resistance won cuz their defense grid was smashed. You would figure that an intelligent skynet would operate more that one defense grid right??

I'm guessing Skynet had one main grid in L.A. and that was the one Reese was referring too.
