I thought Ion and Parallax had the same power scale.

Ion is more powerful than parallax.

how can 1 be more powerful then the other??? they are both the total power of the GL main battery (if we are talking about Hal/Parallax). the thing that would be the major test to who could win is willpower and Hal Jordan has a little bit more then Kyle (not saying Kyle don't have willpower hes got a ton )

Kyle's ring is added on to the total Oan power battery when he becomes Ion, I'm pretty sure. When power is on that scale, willpower doesn't matter nearly as much as it does at the standard GL level. Kyle uses the power that he has much more effectively than Hal does. You know, the whole "imagination" thing.
