ok in all of marvel and DC who is the most powerful character that can either wield magic, or block and repel magics that are used against that character?

NOTE: gods, cosmics, and abstracts are all fair game... (except for TOAA of course)

Shuma is technically far above any of those - but in his few appearances he jobbed majorly to Strange. He needs to be used more - he's a great character.

We've never seen Zarathos at FULL power. During "seige of darkness" his memory was messed and he couldn't access his full powers and strange couldnt stop him. basically he is a Demon god.

Good one - he's sort of a counterpart to Shuma. Both are ripped off the Lovecraft Chtulhu mythos and way underexposed.

Aren't Shuma-Agomotto-Cthton-Ancient One all Old Ones/Elder Gods? To be honest, Marvel probably keeps them purposely obscure since a lot of these characters are ripoffs of Lovecraft creations.

Spectre is head honcho of magic everywhere. no matter what. he'd just absorb any magic u throw at him and use it.

I would put Shaman above Zantanna, but no higher. Talisman is equal to Strange.

Spectre's pretty much the one above all in magic.

Phantom Stranger,who's the go to guy when it comes to magic and overall knowledge.Madame Xanadu's another one people haven't mentioned yet.

A hostless Spectre is overall weaker than one with a host.Shazam wasn't 100% though but being in the Rock sort of evened things out.

Basically all those who are part of the Sentinels of Magic in DC are highly ranked in magic.

People like Spectre, Nabu and Shazam should not be counted with the Earthly beings imo because they are completely on another level. Im not sure where to rank Spectre and Nabu because those are clearly the highest in their circle. Les not forget that Nabu LET Spectre kill him. That alone says alot to me. Also, when he killed Shazam, the wizard just got through fighting another high ranked Lord in Mordru.

Wasnt Nabu downgraded slightly when taking a humans form rather that being his full pure entity state?

Either way, i can concede that Spectre is more powerful than Nabu possibly. Your scans show Spectre more on the dominant side, yet in recent showings when Nabu was at full power, Spectre's victory was due to Nabu allowing it.

That was his original form.
Read the fight again.Spectre could of killed him anytime Nabu knew it himself.
