does herc have any powers besides super strength? what's that weapon he's always usin?

Besides super-strength Herc has super reflexes, super experience, super durability, super speech, super badassness and super ventriloquism.

Herc uses his best weapon on Valkyrie after he wins.

Val has shown us she has a secret mode akin to warrior madness in recent years.

So no, it's not spite. Far from it.

Hercules gets skewered, Leo is forced to lick Val's feet clean for the rest of his life.

I def wasn't thinking spite when I made this I thought it was a good match before she got warrior madness, particularly because of Dragonfang!

She IS more versatile than Herc on average is, true that.

On average, Herc just carries his mace or nothing (classic incarnation, at least).

But Val? Spear, sword, flying horse... and pressure points knowledge.

Exactly. I was a huge OG Defenders fanboy from an early age. In fact it was the first stuff I got into post-elementary age (which was basically limited to Spidey, Bats, and JLA). Defenders basically opened up the extended 616-verse for me back in middle/high school. I loved how uber yet dysfunctional the original 4 were, and then it was clinched when Val was created cuz she had certain elements of each of the other 4 and ended up being the lynchpin.

When I created the thread Herc was actually getting "wanked" pretty hard here, as they say, and I thought Val was cooler and better and wanted to see what ppl thought
