That story contradicts itself when it has MM's pain be something Adam can't handle, after Adam's pain was something MM couldn't handle..

But that's because the first two issues were written by someone who didn't really know MM, and the last two were done by John Ostrander, who wrote the new book on MM.

Adam should really have no defense against a mind screw, or if MM simply goes invisible and beats him down like he did The Weird (According to Captain Comet, Weird hits like Superman..)
