This is post Annihilation Surfer , as many posters believe he is Thanos lvl

Who are "many posters"? Do you actually consider this a legit fight?

I've seen a number on here and on other boards say/think this.

I have my opinion on this but il hold off on that

I doubt you'll find anyone to support Surfer.

Thanos

Who the hell thinks surfer is anywhere near Thanos level? There are specific stories regarding this and Thanos beats the shit out of surfer every damn time. There is NOT single hint whatsoever that surfer can beat Thanos in comics.

If you go back and check out the original Infinity Gauntlet saga, Starlin had Thanos and Surfer fighting on pretty even terms.

Of course Thanos has gone on to eclipse Surfer in power since then.

As much as I <3 Surfer, he's not winning.

Surfer is not beating Thanos anymore than he's beating Galactus. That is simply not in the relationship between the characters, and never will be. Thanos exists expressly to pimpslap the glistening bastard the way no one else can. *sigh*

When they were on astral plane without powers? Because around that time Thanos' original body which was turned to stone and severally weakened curbstomped surfer and mindraped him.

No when Thanos lost the gauntlet and Strange tped him to his Sanctum. Surfer and Thanos threw down with neither side going anywhere till Strange summoned more people to break up the fight between them.

They didn't. Surfer and Thanos didn't even got to attack anybody before Thor, Hulk, Drax and Firelord restrained both.

If Surfer is anywhere near Thanos, I'd like to see it.

That wasn't a real battle. A few punches were thrown but if it wasn't for Strange, Firelord, Thor, Doom, Drax and Hulk, Thanos would have stomped him for sure.

Everyone and their grandma knows Thanos is above Surfer. Thread can be closed.

Anyway, the main point is that there is not much there to definitively say that Surfer would be able to hold his own in a non distracted fight. They spent a majority of that time being restrained.

So where is Anus to defend Surfer?

Good thing this is a forum fight. Where Surfer doesn't forget his abilities for the sake of the plot.

Now before I give why Surfer wins I'll just say this.
1. Thanos is physically stronger
2. Thanos is more durable
3. Thanos has greater power output of blasts (besides those black hole blasts and planetary blasts).

Now Surfer wins because of speed and versatility. He has shields, black hole blasts (that can win the fight outright), etc.

Thanos is not really suppose to touch Surfer unless Surfer's abilities are somewhat turned off because of the plot.

I'm not saying Surfer will beat Thanos by blasting him or punching him because he won't. But he can win with a black hole blast or a board from behind trick.
