Could a serious Warlock defeat Nimrod?

Yeah, easily

Bastion, a derivative of Nimrod, was able to handle/control/manipulate Magus, Warlock's dad (not to be confused with 'Magus, Warlock's evil version'), with ease. I would think Nimrod has excessive knowledge of technarchs from his future where (when?) he and the other Sentinels killed almost all the mutants and superbeings on Earth (including Doom, Hulk, and Iron Man :P). Warlock was probably one of the casualties, and subject to intensive study by the Sentinels.

Nimrod wins.

Nimrod was a badass.

standard warlock could never beat nimrod.
