Everyone knows the story of X-Men 137 - Phoenix Must Die...

In this scenario things are a bit different. Professor X, instead of watching his X-Men defeated one-by-one, realizes beforehand that his team is not up to the task of battling the Shi'ar Imperial Guard.

The Prof hatches a new plan. He locks his team in their quarters and recruits some ringers - the Justice League's classic big 7 (Morrison era). He tells Lilandra they are some of his reserve X-Men from earth that he has decided to use instead. When she becomes suspicious he just brain wipes her into believing the story, so it's all good.

The lineups - instead of:
Cyclops, Storm, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Colossus, Angel, Beast

the team fighting alongside Jean is:
-Superman
-Wonder Woman
-Batman
-Aquaman
-Martian Manhunter
-The Flash (Wally)
-Green Lantern (Kyle)

There is no prep. The JLA don't know their opponents. Jean cannot use her full Phoenix powers unless her allies are defeated as per original.

The opponents as per original will be:
-Gladiator
-Smasher
-Starbolt
-Earthquake
-Oracle
-Tempest
-Warstar
-Manta
-Hussar
-Nightside
-Kree Observer
-Skrull Observer

Can the JLA save the day for Jean by preventing her going Phoenix and dying, where the mutants failed miserably?

Round 2: if you think the JLA are too good, remove Wally and Kyle.

Morrison era? You said no prep, but Batgod on the fly happens to know what to do.

MMH, using his TP, updates the entire team at once.

'Wrestles-with-angels' Superman then enacts this plan, soloing the field.

Aquaman raids Atlantis' armoury and finds something to one shot Glads, for some reason. It's zero prep, but....Batgod found a way.
